I am a tech21 junkie. I don't ever buy the otter stuff anymore. I've had tech21 on all my devices since the iPhone 4. I like the construction of this case, but there's one flaw that has me wishing I had gotten a different case. Every tech21 evo case I have ever gotten previously had a rubberized outer edge. This allowed me to prop my phone up on the table when I'm at a restaurant, at work, or wherever. This case has a hard plastic back (which should keep the phone from being scratched like the other evo cases do) but the outer edge is a hard rubber which is not only harder to hold, but is so slick that my phone can't get any grip and just slides down and falls at any angle. Sure, my phone will be protected, but I can't use hands free unless it's just laying flat on the table, and with face ID instead of a fingerprint means that it can't see me to unlock unless I pick it up. Also, because the back is a rigid plastic instead of rubber, it's VERY hard to get in and out of the case. If you want to thoroughly clean the phone or the case, forget it. And the back of the case scratches really easily. I want the rubberized case back. 10/10 for protection, 3/10 for ergonomics ... show more

I just bought this Tech 21 case for a new I phone 12. Before this I had an IPhone 8 in a Tech 21 case. Carried that phone with me for almost 4 years on construction jobs and no damage to the phone. Dropped the phone down a whole flight of concrete stairs at school and no damage to the phone. Ex-girlfriend threw phone out of car and no damage. This time i had to go for the cheaper case as I didnt really have the budget. The grip feels really good and the look is really nice. I was also surprised by the bezel on the camera not making it feel uneven when placed on a table but this wasn't a problem. The case is thicker than most but still provides wireless charging and good protection so I guess it's worth it. Overall good value for money and nice looks ... show more

I didn’t believe the reviews about it being slippery but it is like Wet Ice! It’s only when it started slipping out of my hands and became a risk of breaking that I gave up on it. Unfortunately I missed the return window. Shame cause I like Tech21 cases. Have been using them for over 6 years and they saved my phone on a number of drops. Fits and looks great ! Feels good, leaves your iphone12 with a straight edge. Buttons feels nice and works with no issues. A little difficult to put on, had to warm it up a little. Fits like a glove. Worth the price though imo.

I’ve been buying tech21 cases since I shattered a screen years ago and an Apple employee replacing it said many of them use tech21. I like that this case is dark enough to make my blue phone look more navy, but not completely opaque. I ordered this and tech21 Evo check in black to compare but returned it and kept this Evo tint one. I like that it’s grippy enough of the sides to stay in my hand easily, but slick enough on the back to slip easily into my jeans back pocket. ... show more

I cant count how many times ive dropped my phone yet its still perfect without scratches on the inside! However, i did have to put dragon grips on it to stop the clumsiness.
