  • Sturday kitchen, nice for small space and a growing toddler
Style: Traditional
Very happy with this kitchen. whe have had it for 4 months now, it was a first birthday gift for our child. He loves to play in it, he loves to open and close the doors and move things around and reach high and low. As he ages, he is doing more pretend cooking. We live in a small home and I was really hoping for a play kitchen that was compact but engaging and this fit the bill. It has enough storage for play dishes that we have. We do not have much food yet, it might get cramped in there once a bunch of food is introduced, but we will make it work. It took a while to assemble, but I thought the directions were helpful and clear. There was a screw missing from my set and I was able to replace it with something from my tool box. Having two people to assemble it would help move things along, but I did fine with just one person. I think the one part where I wish I had more instructions was installing the stove knobs. I think I broke one by turning it too hard, because it does not really click like the other two. Just use caution when you get to that part and do not force it. The 3 spice cylinders that came with the kitchen are an ok add, but they had been relabeled and the labels were peeling off. I set them aside for some day in the future when my child is done putting things in his mouth and wrecking the labels. ... show more

  • Great Toy!
Style: Traditional
Big win. I purchased this kitchen for my one-year-old granddaughter. There were no small parts I could find that she might choke on unless she found a screwdriver and took out some screws. It tucks in neatly in my kitchen dining area and it looks really great. I did not want a clunky plastic kitchen and this is better than I imagined. Sturdy, heavy so it’s stable, and really well made for the price. She loves it! At 14 months she would push imaginary buttons and mix things with a spoon (purchased separately). I’m not a particularly handy person but I had it together inside an hour. Only complaint: they shorted me two small screws. ... show more

  • Cute, sturdy, compact
Style: Traditional
This is a great choice for a small sized play kitchen. I love the colors, and the wood is sturdy. I was choosing between this one and the IKEA model, and this one just seems more fun. My son is 2.5 and loves to take his toy shopping cart, go "shopping", and return to his kitchen to make something exciting. I knew the specs before I bought it, but I do still wish there was a little more counter space. I may try to convince my husband to build a small side cupboard or shelf just to help keep his accessories tidy. My son really likes that the knobs click and the faucet handle spins. It was relatively easy to put together and took me an hour with a toddler "helping." I was missing one washer, but I had a replacement in the garage, so it was no biggie. I would recommend putting the microwave together before building it to completion. I had a hard time fitting my hand and screwdriver in the small space to install the hinges and fastener. It seems very sturdy and I have hopes it'll last though my son, baby-to-be, and be up for passing along when it's no longer used. I'm delighted it doesn't take batteries or sing any songs. ... show more

  • Perfect smaller kitchen
Style: Traditional
Perfect kitchen for smaller spaces! My daughter is 3 and loves it. It’s held up really well so far - we’ve had it for at least 6 months.

  • Good Quality Fun to Use Good Quality Fun to Use
Style: Traditional
It came on time and in excellent condition. - Sturdy - good quality materials - fun to use features and colors (microwave, oven, cabinet, faucet and sink, phone) - just right for my 2 yr old - assembly is a challenge But it comes together really well and sturdily. Assembly tips: (what worked for me) Before reading the manual try to first: - look at the pictures and video reviews - group together the pieces. They are labelled with letters (ABCD). Study the screws and hinges - envision in your head how each piece come together so that it will make sense when you finally look at the manual because the manual has 30+ steps - have two sizes of screwdriver ready small one and medium one (star shaped) with short handles - if you can, attach the hinges and locks of the oven doors. If you attach them following the manual you would need a short screwdriver due to the size and length of the space - the manual might look confusing but it will make sense if you imagine how pieces come together (let common sense kick in) - try not to assemble it with your kids around you. Less distractions more chances of success. I am 5'6". The counter height is up to my knees. The overall size of the kitchen reminds me of a large hard case suitcase I have. It is smalller than what I would like it to be. I chose between Ikea and this. Ikea is definitely bigger but this has more fun features for kids to play with. ... show more

  • it was pretty easy to follow the directions to build it
Style: Traditional
This kitchen set exceeded my expectations. The quality of the materials it is made of rivals my own kitchen cabinets! Everything is solid wood and, though time consuming, it was pretty easy to follow the directions to build it. The only tool you need is a screwdriver (or drill if you want it to go faster!). My only complaint is that we were missing a pretty significant piece and I had to go on the Teamson Kids website and order it. I would highly recommend laying out all the materials and counting all your hardware before you begin building it. If I had been in the middle of building it and then realized that the piece was missing, I probably would have been pretty frustrated because it is time consuming to build. I laid out all my pieces ahead of time and noticed that we were missing the piece before we built, so I was able to fix the problem before it was actually a problem. Even though we were missing a piece, I'm still giving it 5 stars because the quality of it is just awesome. I'd choose this over a plastic one any day! This kitchen is sure to last through many kids! ... show more

  • Get this one!!
Style: Traditional
Absolutely love this play kitchen!!! It is by far my favorite out of any play kitchen I've ever seen. My 2 kids (1 & 3) cannot stop playing with it!! There are so many places for the kids to put things with all the shelves, cupboards, appliances. And it doesn't take up a lot of space in our small house at all, I am amazed at how much they can fit into this compact kitchen. The look of this wooden kitchen is really nice over the plasticy alternatives that you see. The knobs for the stove click just like a gas stove. I was a little confused on exactly what accessories came with it, so here it is: 3 spice jars, a spatula, and a phone. So don't expect any food items or pans to come with it, you'll need to get those separate. My son wanted to hang his pans like his old kitchen so I just added some sticky hooks to the sides, and now they have more storage! A couple of things to consider: The cupboard door and microwave door hinges do not bend all the way back. I'm afraid they will break if my kids bend them back too far. The oven door hinge extends all the way to the ground, which is great. Also the assembly took forever. My husband spent probably 2 hours putting it together. Plan plenty of time, or assemble ahead of time. ... show more

  • It would be better if the labels on the assembly were placed in ...
Style: Traditional
It took a while to organize all the parts first when opening the box. There is small blue handle fell from the box and its paint is falling off. I had no clue what it was until I saw the microwave part. It would be better if the labels on the assembly were placed in the same corner, otherwise, it is difficult to find. There were mistakes in the descriptions in the manual, such as the screws number, making it difficult to assemble at the first time. The knobs cannot fit in the hardware and just fell when I tried to assemble them. The stove is too small. It's supposed to be a two burner stove, but just a toy pan already occupy all the space. It really was a pain for assembly. But the kitchen is adorable when finished and doesn't take up lots of space in the playroom. My kid loves playing it! ... show more
