I bought a budget laptop for my daughter a year ago and it came with 4GB RAM, which is barely enough for word processing and web surfing. As she entered high school and started to get into programming, gaming, drawing, etc, the budget laptop couldn't really handle some of the more memory intensive applications. Just installed 2 of these 8 GB memory modules in a laptop. I removed the original 8 GB module and used it to upgrade a second new laptop to 16 GB. The laptop booted right up and I and ran the Windows 10 memory diagnostic. Took about an hour to run the test which makes 2 passes through all of the memory. No errors found. I've been running my usual apps....FIrefox.....Outlook 2007.......Edge....and everything is hunky dory. I was concerned when I ordered the memory since these were the least expensive but they seem to work fine so I am happy. ... show more

To be 100% I did not benchmark this or do anything crazy I installed this on my GF's laptop and it read as 8gb and the laptop was significantly faster. Package was durable and the stick was in flawless condition. Installation was a literally snap and I was stoked when everything fired up with out issue. As for the price remember from late 2018 to time of reviewing (early 2021) ram prices have been exceedingly volatile. Do your due diligence and find a good price to a good product. ... show more

I installed this memory in my Acer Aspire A515-46-R3UB, With the Ryzen 3 3350U. I read online that it'd support 16GB extra, which it does not. I had to return that stick and buy the 8BG instead. No issues with installation after I had the proper stick. I'd advise you only get this ram for a laptop where the memory that is pre installed ( Especially Soldered) is already running at 2400MHz, as getting anything more would simply be a waste of money. If your memory runs at a higher frequency, then buy the high frequency memory. This is unless you can change the clock speed in BIOS, which you should try before buying. Otherwise, realize that this is an internal component and you should research how to install it, preferably into whatever laptop or other device model that you plan on upgrading. It's straightforward and assuming everything's correct, it shouldn't take more than maybe 10-15 minutes if your laptop has a lot of screws on the underside. It's ram, it works, and it's cheap for the brand new stick you're getting. If you want to go lower you'll probably have to get used ram which would also probably be fine. ... show more

Write speeds were 100% on my Lenovo x260, it made my laptop so much snappier because I could actually open a few chrome tabs without it feeling like a hot potato. Easy install just look up a YouTube video or read an installation guide very straight forward. On some laptops you may have to configure the bios but most should be okay. Came well packaged and looks like a quality product. Specs exactly matched existing RAM I hoped to double in an HP 17-By0061st laptop. Installation process to open case is tedious but went smoothly. Unfortunately initial boot was very slow and a restart would not finish booting. Laptop initially recognized the 16 GB total but wouldn’t restart. Obviously either a subtle compatibility issue or defective memory. Removed the new RAM and laptop booted normally and runs as it did before I started… unfortunately had to return ... show more

Por el precio que la compré, fué muy bueno para mi laptop asus rog strix con Intel no se siente la diferencia ya que la memoria con la que traía la laptop era de 8gb a 3200mhz , en cambio esta que compré a 2400mhz no se siente esa perdida de hz a simple vista( ya que la bios toma los hz más bajos de la memoria más baja), pero si eres de los que tiene laptop sin tarjeta de video dedicada y en modelo Ryzen entonces deberías usar un kit de rams como mínimo a 3200mhz, ya que el chip gráfico de esas laptops pueden dar más fps por los 3200mhz o más hercios pero seria un aumento entre 5 o 8 fps más que puede ser clave al momento de querer jugar en una laptop con Ryzen y sin tarjeta de video Por lo demás buena ram al precio que la compré 35$ y no ha salido hasta ahora dañada ni nada en mi laptop asus rog ... show more

I was intially satisfied with the performance of this RAM, but after about 3 months, my computer started giving me the blue screen of death when I had some heavy programs going (for work). This started happening more and more often. I just ran a couple memory diagnostic tests. 1 of the 2 modules is throwing errors. I've only had them installed for almost exactly 6 months! Unacceptable. Do not tecommend. Now I have to worry about if the other one is going to give out on me. I wish I'd spent the extra $ on name-brand RAM modules. I am incredibly unhappy. ... show more
