We have 3 - 10 ft kayaks (2 sit on top and 1 sit inside). We debated on getting the 3 or 4 rack. We went with the 4 because we may end up getting a 4th kayak at some point. We also wanted enough room from the ground to the first kayak so our dog wouldn't be able to pee on the kayak. We have ours set up at our seasonal site for our camper. We put a 5 ft x 3 ft patio block pad underneath for a solid, level base. So far, we are very pleased with the sturdiness of the rack. This was by far the best option we found online when doing our research for a free standing rack for 3 to 4 kayaks on a single side of the rack. Assembly was easy with minimal tools needed. I purchased the 3 level version of this rack for my lake house and I am extremely impressed with the product. Assembling the rack was surprisingly easy and only took me about 20 minutes to put together. I was initially skeptical about the durability of the rack arms supporting my kayaks, but once the pins were inserted, the storage arms were very secure. I thought the rack would be much bigger than it is. But it doesn't matter. The design is great. I didn't think our 'yaks would fit, but they fit nicely. The rack is currently holding a 16' WS Tarpon, 14' Tarpon and a 12' Tarpon. The rack is solid. We'll see how it does in the FL heat and rain, but I feel confident it will hold up. They say it is for indoor storage, but I’m going to try it outside to see how long it lasts. It is sturdy, and when I am removing one SUP, the unit didn’t move at all.

I really shopped for a quality rack. When I choose this one I was really hoping to get a strong sturdy rack. While the pic shows three kayacks on the three tier, in reality I had to put one on the floor and 2 above it. It is somewhat shakey and I am not happy with it. Easy to assemble.
