Not much to say except it's exactly what it claims to be. I have it installed in a decent sized bedroom and it works perfectly. I have no idea what the square footage is, but I can say in less than 30 minutes of operation, this AC had the room noticeably cooler (it replaced a defunct window unit that in comparison to this one I think wasn't cooling properly for a while as this one was so much colder so much faster, etc.) If you happen to have wood window sills, then everything you need is in the box (screws to secure the window to the top of the AC and to ensure the fold outs on the sides remain extended, etc.) It honestly took longer to get the only broken AC out of the window than it did to install this one lol. It doesn't have a remote, but considering the size room you're likely to install it in TO ME it doesn't matter at all. I also like that it has mechanical controls (rotating switches, etc.) rather than digital controls...this AC just seems very durable in how it's made 👍 ... show more

As said in the title, I desperately needed something to cool down the sunroom in the back part of the house. It was basically unusable in the summer. To give you an idea, it would hit 90F in the room by mid morning in the summer if it was a warm day. This is with thick insulating curtains, blinds, and double pained windows. Absolutely miserable to use unless you wanted a sauna. This struggles a little on the hottest days (100+) to keep the temps below 80f, but that's mostly my fault for getting a size that's a bit too small for a big room with high ceilings. But 80 feels frosty compared to the 98+ degrees it would get to without it. Now this unit is a bit noisy if you turn up the fan speed to high. I keep it on low most of the time though and it does just fine. If you're a light sleeper you might look elsewhere. I haven't measure the power draw myself, but it's barely made a scratch in the power bill in the last few months I've used it. Really the only complaint I would have with the unit itself is the rather flimsy cheap remote that comes with it. Sometimes the buttons don't register and you just have to keep aiming it in different directions until you hear it beep. Not to mention the cheaply applied fonts that have rubbed off from light use. Bought this a while back but summer is here and its needed. Controls are easy to see and understand. I have only used low settings as I have a small room. You will hear no outside noise because this will drowned it out.

I like it. It is very quiet, has many nice features, and comes with a remote which is surprisingly handy. I use it on a timer, and even though it has electronic controls, it remembers its settings and when power is restored (by the timer) comes back on as it should. Temperature control is excellent. I use it in a 9 x 12 bedroom and it has no trouble getting it as cold as I want. I don't like air conditioners that shut off the fan when the compressor isn't running, and this one has an option to leave the fan running continuously. The only thing I don't know about is the reliability of the unit, as I've only had it for a few days. It does seem well made. I did buy a service plan, which I usually don't do. It was $45 for 4 years which seems like a good deal to me, especially considering the reviews that describe problems with the unit and with getting service. Two complaints: First, the output vents do not adjust much, and the unit was blowing cold air directly on me in bed. I built a simple diverter; problem solved. Second, the installation instructions were pretty awful, and I couldn't really install it satisfactorily, partly because my window has brass weatherstripping that blocks the sill. It requires installing it with a slight downward slope, but you can't measure the slope with the sash down, which it has to be. There's also no way for me to fasten the bottom of the unit using the supplied clips. And, the manual shows two included pieces of weatherstripping, I only got one (plus some strange sticky foam not shown in the parts list), and there is nothing in the instructions about how and where to use the foam. ... show more
