Really happy with this purchase. I was looking at basically the exact same beds on Etsy that were 2x the price with shipping costs anywhere from $70-350. This bed was fairly easy to put together (one hour by myself and only needed a screw driver) and is sturdy. I am going to be modifying the tan bed skirt to cover the inside perimeter so I don’t have to worry about my 8 month old getting her legs or arms stuck in the gaps. Also, the full mattress I bought for this was a little smaller than the frame, so make sure you match up the measurements when considering your purchases better than I did! As everyone else in the reviews stated, the frame is too long for a standard twin mattress. It might fit an xl, I'm not sure. So we put a blanket rolled up at the end of the bed. Also, the slats are pretty weak, so we added 2 2x4s lengthwise under the slats to support them. It made it strong enough that my husband and I could lay in the bed with our toddler. Easy to assemble, just the right size for my big toddler. He loves that he can get in and out of it on his own, but that it also gives him plenty of room to move around while he’s sleeping. This was the perfect next step as he came out of the crib.

I wanted to try this for my 5-months old. Although I just got this about one month ago, they only had a full-sized option at that time. I saw a similar one at Walmart which had a delivery fee so I decided to go with this one. I had simulated what would happen with this bed in my brain so much because this would be a huge change from a crib so here are the things you may be curious about! 1. You need a bunkie board and a mattress. Your total cost will be a lot more than just this bed. I couldn’t find a mattress that was not so high so I got a 9 inch one and that makes the rails almost useless. I will probably need to put some protections around the bed once the baby starts crawling. The slates are not very sturdy so you definitely need a bunkie board. It still is squeaky. 2. The full size mattress is 54X75 and this bed is 57 X 79.5. So you can see in the picture that with the mattress in, it makes a 2-inch gap in the two sides which might be needed if I would use a blanket. But currently, with an infant, I only want a fitted sheet so I will need to fill the gaps in once my baby starts crawling. 3. The smell of whatever was super strong when I opened the box and it could give a headache. I left a fan on more than one day to get rid of the smell but it still has some odor. 4. Full size is huge. I would get a twin size if I had that option when I bought it. Even with these shortcomings, I really like the transition and my baby loves the bed too. Here are the things that you would likely see. 1. It is very easy to sleep with the baby. (Even the whole family can sleep in together) It is also easy to sneak out once the baby falls asleep, which was the first reason I bought this. 2. It is a good play area too! You don’t need to put a blanket on the floor for tummy time. You can just do it on the bed, lying down with the baby. 3. My baby didn’t want to stay in her crib because she didn’t want to be by herself when she was awake. Now she doesn’t hate the bed because she doesn’t think that as a bed. 4. I am planning to use the mattress for a regular bed once my baby grows up! Hope this review helps!! ————- Updates I switched the mattress with the thinner one (4 inches) so I had to give up a spring mattress. Now I can feel the bars in the bunkey board and it still squeaks. I think it would be better to remove all the slates and put the mattress on the floor if you live in a house you don’t use shoes. But a thin mattress would make sense for the baby to be able to crawl out by herself and be safe within the rails. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Product was great. I easily put it together in about 30 minutes. The gate hinges are very chinsy and bend quite easily making it hard to shut BUT that’s the only complaint I have. I don’t have gapping issues like other reviews nor any smells. Product arrived quickly and In Perfect condition . I would buy again ... show more

When the bed first arrived, i was so excited and was immediately was crushed after unboxing. One large support wood arrived lightly cracked. It was a surface level (not deep) crack so i figured it would be ok since my daughters only 25 lbs and the bed is advertised as holding a weight limit of 200 lbs. Im 150 lbs, so i figured both of us being on the bed together should be ok.... I got my twin mattress 2 days after assembling the frame and there was a six inch bed between the twin mattress and the frame. HOW IS IT POSSIBLE THAT THE FRAME ISNT SIZED FOR TWIN BED? I HAD TO SPEND MORE MONEY TO GET A BUMPER to fill the gap to reduce the risk of my toddler breaking a leg... ok, i got the bumber no big deal. My daughter and i were on the bed reading and i heard a loud crack.. THE FRAME FULLY CRACKED.. THIS BED IS GARBAGE MADE OF CHEAP WOOD. OMG. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE.
