I’m only giving this review based on my reaction to the adhesive after using this for less than 24 hours. I’ve never responded negatively to adhesive before but my new tattoo is more swollen, irritated and more painful than I’ve experienced before. When removed it peeled off thin layers of my skin that is similar to when you shave your legs and cut yourself. Not deep enough to bleed but it stings really bad. I’ve used saniderm before with no issue for other tattoos but this did not work for me. I acknowledge I have relatively more sensitive skin but damn this shit hurts lol if you have sensitive skin, I would NOT recommend. I hope this reaction goes away soon! Hated it. I tried to wear it to help keep water off my new hand tattoo (I'm a dog groomer and even took a week off grooming after I got it). It peeled up and let a bunch of water in so I had to peel it off and it peeled a lot of the outline and some of the color off my tattoo! I'm going to have to get the whole thing redone. Did the same thing to my fiancé's tattoo. Very unhappy. Added a picture of the new tattoo right after I got it and then an after picture of using this stuff. ... show more

I have had this type of bandage used multiple times for tattoos and loved it. I purchased this to keep around in case a future artist didn't use it or I needed to reapply due to a leak. I needed to do this on a new tattoo due to their application leaking, and I got redness and irritation around the tattoo within hours. I removed, washed, reapplied and got even WORSE redness and irritation! I came back here and read the other reviews, and unfortunately saw there are many others stating problems with reactions and irritation. I have used this type of wrap on tattoos from multiple different artists, and haven't even seen a name brand on their box, but I have never had a reaction like this. I do NOT have skin allergies and never had a reaction like this from any skincare product. Of course I didn't need to use it until the return window had closed, but I just want to warn others of the issues I had! This should not be being sold for use on open wounds! This worked great. Practically no aftercare pain, I'm definitely using this from now on. The only reason this wasn't a 5* is the instructions were awful. So here's what I did to get the picture results: 1. Apply first bandage to clean dry skin after session. Try to cover the edges of the tattoo by an inch and if you need more than one section make sure they overlap as well. (Picture one) 2. Leave first bandage on for 24 hours. (picture 2 is at 5 hours when I'd usually be taking off saran wrap, picture 3 is before removal at 24 hours) 3. Wash skin with cold water, no soap only using your hand to gently scrub it. 4. Dab dry and apply another bandage. 5. I waited about 4 days before carefully peeling it off, 3-6 it's probably the sweet spot, but it was starting to get annoying. Peel it back as parallel to the skin as you can manage. Some of the ink will come off, but it doesn't seem any worse than when your skin peels off like it normally would. 6. Put a ton of aquaphor on your tattoo like you normally would. I hope this helps someone else. ... show more

it’s a good cover for sure helped with my tattoo. it kept from having my bra rub on it and helped allow me to be able to go to the gym and not have to worry about it. this cover allowed my tattoo to have plasma build up which is great for tattoos. i will say it’s easy to apply and once it’s on its on and it doesn’t peel up all the time. it stated on for my three days. worked very well and felt comfy also. i did think it would be bigger but i also needed to prolly fully read about it! above was the after results of it being on for three days. ... show more

After 72-hours I removed this transparent bandage using the procedure recommended by a medical facility on YouTube. To my knowledge the product did not come with instructions nor could I find the company's website. Removing it was a terrible experience especially the first and last few inches. It tore pieces of skin and caused irritation over the entire area. While I was in no pain when it was on I now (3-days later) have significant pain resulting in not being about to wear a bra. It feels like an extreme sunburn. My initial experience: I have been wearing the bandage across my chest (breasts) for over 24-hours. I barely notice it and it does not show under my t-shirt.     • Hurts like hell to take off

It definitely does the job I wear it to work and I can work freely I even keep it on when I shower and it stays on perfectly. The only problem is it hurts to take off so if you don't have moisturizer or something on top of the actual tattoo the sticky part will stick to the tattoo and might even mess up the tattoo. So I'd say only put aquaphor on the tattoo an leave it dry around it so it can actually stick on your skin. ... show more
