I’ve been using this primer for a few years now, and it’s honestly blown everything I’ve ever used out of the water. The quality is superior, and it works just as described, so I believe that justifies the high price tag. It helps reduce redness, prevent oiliness, smooth any texture, and blur my pores. Although it doesn’t completely blur all of my pores, I’d say it covers at least 95% of them. It looks like I have an Instagram filter over my face, which gives the appearance of porcelain skin (hence the Geisha inspiration). I’ve never experienced any cracking, creasing, fading, or smudging. Even after 12+ hours of wear, my makeup remains fresh. Even when it’s a super hot day and I’m sweating, my makeup doesn’t budge. Even when it was pouring buckets outside, my makeup stayed put. This stuff is truly amazing. As for the application, it’s extremely quick and easy. The small spatula it comes with to remove the product is genius. On first contact, this appears to have a slightly thicker consistency than your average primer, but it melts into your skin instantly. I love the silky feel it gives; it adds to the luxury of this primer. I personally use a little more product than the recommended amount, and I like to wait a few minutes before applying my makeup. As for the scent, it’s faint and doesn’t linger. For reference on my skin type, I have dry/normal skin. In terms of the authenticity of ordering this primer on Amazon, I can say with certainty that it’s legit. Tatcha is the seller, so it’s no different than purchasing it from their official brand website or Sephora. The only difference is that you receive it much sooner, and if the timing is right, you can purchase it at a much lower price. I’m currently running low on my Tatcha silk canvas primer, so I bought one on Prime Day for $37 bucks! That’s a $17 dollar difference (talk about a saving!). The packaging came in typical Tatcha fashion. The primer came in a vacuum-sealed bag and was placed in a little drawer-like box with a small disc-shaped spatula. The primer itself came in flawless condition, as it should. The outside packaging looked a tiny bit dingy, but that didn’t bother me. I love the fact I noticed a difference in the smoothness of my face! My foundation works great with this product! No overbearing for me but just right!!!!!!!! This is a product I'm going forward with! I Love it! Did I say I love it? This is a repeat of all my TATCHA products! The face mask! My sister told me about these products because I noticed where her skin looks amazing! I get soooooo many complements from using this product line! Tatcha does offer a version specifically for oily skin, which I probably should have got. However, I picked this up on Prime Day and didn’t want to miss the deal, so I decided to try it anyway. To my surprise, it worked completely fine for my oily skin. The texture is silky smooth, and once applied, my skin feels velvety while helping to blur pores and fine lines. That said, it’s quite pricey for what it does, as it performs similarly to other primers on the market. I also wasn’t a fan of the packaging—the screw-top compact requires two hands to open, and the small circular tool used to scoop out the product doesn’t have a designated holder, so you’re left needing to place it somewhere.
