Just wanted to point out that the usb is only for the lights. My son needed a usb headphone set but the usb does not run the sound. Unfortunately we put his name on his before we sent them to school so now we can’t return them.

These headsets will do the job you need them to. For the price point they overall diversity of use is not bad at all. I do not have the smallest head and they fit, but have a slight circular angle to the headset so it pushes a little more than I would want it to on the bottom of my ears. I suspect with more time on my head it will relax and be more comfortable. This has the 3.5mm jack that works in Xbox One controllers with no additional equipment required. Also, can plug into most places that hold the 3.5mm. On the same end that has the 3.5mm it also has a USB for connection to computers. There is an additional attachment that comes in the bag for a left and right speaker connection (3.5mm I believe). While I am not a medical professional, nor do I hold a license to provide medical based opinions, the output on these speakers while connected to the Xbox One controller will not be able to damage your hearing.... ever. From an overall sound quality, it is good for the price point. The max volume from the headset is about the midpoint of what I would expect from most headsets. Works for chatting, gaming and such as long as there is not a lot of noise in the room you are in. I have kids so they compete quite well with the sound output here (no rest for the wicked). I ordered this for my 5 year old and his 2 cousins (6 and 9) so they could play Fall Guys on their switches from different houses. I ordered them specifically because they say Nintendo switch compatible. However when they came, the information on the box doesn’t match the description and I got worried because it said no microphone for Switch. Apparently it’s a big pain to be able to test a headset on the Switch and you just have to go into the game and mess with it. Thankfully we were able to get them all up and running and the microphone works fine. We just used the one audio cable without the adaptor in the top of the switch. If it’s a docking switch you will probably want an extender to be able to play on a TV since it hooks into the console and not the controller. I will say the little extra usb cord hanging off is a bit annoying but I guess it’s better than losing the adaptor if you have to frequently switch what you’re using it on. The headsets seem to work pretty well for them although they’re just kids and don’t care about sound quality etc. The little controller on the cord is nice to be able to mute and turn volume up and down. The head seats for all of them with no issues and I as an adult am able to wear them as well. My biggest complaint is probably that the microphone only adjusts up and down. It won’t adjust closer or further away from your mouth so with little kids it can be difficult to hear them. The kids also really like the cool designs and colors. Overall this is a great little headset especially for the price. I just wish all the compatibility was more clear as it seems to contradict itself. I probably wouldn’t recommend these for hrs core gamers but they’re great for casual gaming. ... show more

I have a love-hate relationship with this headset. I do not mind that it is wired at all. They are really comfortable for long gaming hours. It comes with a jack connection and USB with some extra connections. I have to connect the headset directly to my PlayStation controller in order for the headset to work. It does not light up unless it connected via the USB, but no sound comes through. I have tried to troubleshoot this issue many times, but I have not been able to fix it. This was a huge frustration I had at the beginning, but 11-year-old doesn't mind it when she uses to play her games and it is connected to the controller directly. It also works on my laptop via the jack option. It's a good alternative for budget friendly families. ... show more
