Features

  • REQUIRES Tapo Hub-To utilize Tapo contact sensor T110, a Tapo hub H100 (sold separately) and a secured 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network connection are required. Tapo T110 communicates with the hub via the Sub-1G Low-Power Wireless protocol, which provides extended battery life for the sensor and a wider coverage area compared to Wi-Fi. The Tapo Hub H100 can connect up to 64 sensors simultaneously and includes a 90dB ringer with 19 different ringing tones. The Tapo Hub also enables the use ofSmart Action for sensors and other Tapo devices even when the network is disconnected and is highly responsive.
  • Go Beyond Just Doors and Windows- The device provides real-time monitoring of windows, doors, cabinets, fridges, mailboxes, and other items that can be opened or closed.
  • Real-Time Notification- If a door or window is opened unexpectedly, you will receive instant alerts on your phone. You can also program the Hub to activate a siren as a warning in the event of danger or to deter intruders.
  • Smart Action- Tapo T110 serves as a common precondition for Smart Actions. You can program your Smart Contact Sensor to turn lights on or off, or to disable your Tapo security camera when a door is opened.
  • Long-Lasting Performance- Assuming triggers of less than 30 times per day, the device can operate for up to 2 years using only a single CR2032 battery, which is included.
  • Easy Installation- Easily mount the device to nearly any surface using the included 3M adhesive.

Style: Contact Sensor ONLY Size: 1 Pack
Both the hub and sensors are easy and straightforward to setup. The hub is first setup by connecting it to your WiFi router via a 2.4 GHz wireless network. It needs an available wall power socket. The sensors connect wirelessly to the hub and are associated with it using the phone or tablet app which also facilitates configuring the hub and sensors. There is a siren on the hub that, depending on its configuration, can function as either an alarm (set to it's loudest setting) or a chime when a sensor is triggered. I also have several wireless motion-detection sensors (Passive Infra-Red) connected to the hub - everything works smoothly with no fuss. The sensors attach to a wall or door jamb with double-sided tape. This system is superior to my home alarm system due to the facility of instant notifications on my smart phone and the ability to control it from anywhere with an internet connection. ... show more

  • Best door sensor IF you already have a Tapo hub
Style: Contact Sensor ONLY Size: 1 Pack
I bought these because I wanted to be able to keep track of when certain doors were opened, especially when I'm away. I already had a Tapo H500 hub, so installation was simple. The most difficult part is figuring out where and how to attach them to the door, especially on doors that swing inwards. I couldn't make it work on my back door, because there isn't enough clearance for the door to pass the small half of the sensor, but all the other doors it fits with no problems. You will sometimes need to attach the adhesive to an edge that it wasn't designed for, but it still seems to work. I particularly like how I can set up a routine so that when a door is opened, it sounds a chime on the hub. I can't tell you how many times I've been startled by a roommate suddenly appearing at my office door because I didn't hear them open the hall door. This isn't a problem any longer. These sensors are a much better price than the ones from Aeotec, and much more reliable than the ones from Sonoff. ... show more

  • Works flawlessly with Alexa routines
Style: Contact Sensor + Hub Size: 3-Pack
Super easy to set up and extremely reliable. The sensors respond instantly, and I had them tied into my Alexa routines within minutes. They trigger lights, announcements, and automations with zero delay. The size is compact, the adhesive is strong, and the battery life has been great so far. If you want affordable door sensors that work smoothly with a smart home setup, these are perfect. ... show more

  • Good functioning part of a full Tapp system.
Style: Contact Sensor ONLY Size: 1 Pack
Easy to use with the good Tapo system, set up is easy, durability is okay, had one bust open relatively easy. Makes easy connection, adhesive could be a little stronger. There is no motion detention but tells you well if the door or window has been opened.

  • Great for Garage Doors!
Style: Contact Sensor + Hub Size: 3-Pack
I got these to use in place of a reed switch for my garage doors. I was having trouble finding decently rated reed switches on amazon, reports of melting and incorrectly operating switches glore. Yikes! These work great for this application, and in retrospect, not having to run a wire to a reed switch resulted in a much easier overall installation. Just watch your sensor placement to avoid your doors track. I paired these with some Shelly 1 minis to operate the garage door opener. If you don't want to mess with electrical wiring to the Shelly, get the Shelly 1 plus version, and you can wire it to a standard 12v DC power cord, and use an normal outlet instead. You'll have to replace the batteries in these sensors every few years, but that's easy and cheap enough to do once in a while. They seem durable, I dropped one from 7 feet up onto concrete, and it still works just fine. I set these up in the Tapo app, and then added them to Home Assistant. The tp-link integration works great with the hub and t110 sensors, and they can be used locally without requiring the Tapo app. The sensors sensors seem much more responsive via Home Assistant vs the Tapo app. The only downside is the price, the t110 sensors sell for $20 a piece, but given the quality of reed switches on amazon, I'd rather spend a bit more, and not risk a fire. I purchased another set to install on my entry doors, and will probably put some on my fridge doors eventually as well. If they were cheaper, I'd put them on all my windows too... ... show more

  • Alarm works well, Easy setup
Style: Contact Sensor + Hub Size: 3-Pack
This door alarm worked great. I like that I could setup different alarm triggers. I set one to alarm when the door is opened longer 30 seconds and another alarm that triggers when the door is opened between midnight and 6 am. It’s also nice to setup another hub in our bedroom and have the alarms go off on that hub, mainly when we are sleeping. We had to do this since one hub has to be close to the sensors. It’s also nice to get messages on my phone when the doors open and close. Easy setup. ... show more

  • Excellent, Reliable Door Sensor!
Style: Contact Sensor ONLY Size: 1 Pack
I recently installed the TP-Link Tapo Door Sensor, and it’s been a fantastic addition to my smart home setup! The installation was incredibly easy, taking just a few minutes to attach it to my doorframe. The sensor is compact, discreet, and works flawlessly with the Tapo app, providing instant notifications every time the door opens or closes. One of the standout features is the real-time alerts, which give me peace of mind whether I’m at home or away. The app is super user-friendly, and I love that it integrates seamlessly with other Tapo devices in my home. It’s also very energy-efficient, and the battery life seems great so far. For anyone looking for an affordable and reliable smart door sensor, the TP-Link Tapo is a perfect choice. It’s given me that extra layer of security I was looking for, and I couldn’t be happier with the performance! Highly recommended! ... show more
