Would have preferred the 11kWh but not enough room in the electrical box. Only using for laundry room (wash sink and washer). With ground water 67 in winter only gets to 98, unless flow turned down to restrict. But this is fine for the washer. And mop sink. This summer I am sure will get very hot (desert location). Will use that time to clean in cleansing cycles through the washer with “Ahh! Some “ cleaner. Love getting rid of the gas water heater big space hog, vs small clean box on the wall. Haven’t had long enough to know impact on power bill. But many use cold to wash with anyway.

The water heater in my house is on one side, while the kitchen sink is on the other side... Making hot water to the kitchen take a bit longer than I want. I ordered this and redid some plumbing under the kitchen sink and after running new 10 gauge wire from the breaker box to the sink I installed this and now it's a lot better and faster to get hot water. Obviously 104 degrees isn't considered very hot, but when the kitchen sink is used for washing dishes more than anything else, it does the job just fine.

One of sons recently purchased a home and I have been helping him with some upgrades. We built a coffee station at the edge of his kitchen/dining area and instead of running cold and hot water lines over there; I just ran cold and used this heater for the hot. Everything worked out well. We located the unit in the cabinet under the sink and installation was simple. I did have to run a 30-amp 240-volt circuit over there, but luckily for us, the breaker panel is located on the other side of the wall where out outlet needed to go. Obviously, this 6.5 KW water heater isn’t designed for whole house use, but for specific outlets like a kitchen sink, it is perfect. The unit is very small and takes up very little room. There is no PVC or copper plumbing connections to be made, just flex-lines. Do note, the description says it “meets” UL specifications, but doesn’t say it is UL certified. This has been in operation for a couple of weeks and my son has experience no issues.

The first thing I noticed was how well -protected this is in the box. I never seen such secure and quality form fitted bubble wrap. I have never seen such good packaging. The second thing I noticed is that I don’t really need to hide this. It looks like an appliance and not some thing that needs to be hidden in the basement or closet. The enclosure is sleek and the green color mine came in will compliment the cabin decor at my use site. This will be mounted inside on an exterior wall and I will extend a cold water line up to it and I will direct the heated water out through a flex line to an outdoor shower. I am tired of rinsing off the sand and grime from my outdorsey pursuits with cold tap water. Sure that sometimes okay on a 100F day but it’s pure misery when it’s cloudy or in the low 70’s and your tap water is in the low 50’s. Burrrrr So I’m going to install this to give me a refreshing 105F outdoor shower experience. What I liked about this device was that it used 120V power. I have one more single pole breaker spot in my panel box and a 30 amp breaker will run me about $10. Okay, so I need to run heavy 10 gauge power line to it and I can put a 30 amp on/off switch right next to it. These are all readily available at any hardware or home center. Installation should easy for homeowners with a bit of electrical expertise. If not, well you needed to get someone in anyway and this is the least expensive way to install a single use instantaneous hot water source. Much simpler and cheaper installation then 240V or running a gas line to it and then venting it outside.

My water heater went out and this came in handy ! I live in a mobile home so it isn’t big enough to push the whole house but it worked great when I hooked it up in my bathroom , I recommend only using at one water outlet at a time if your in a bigger house .

Only heats for a few minutes then shuts off, if you try to run cold water at the same time it will stop heating. Not sure if it’s broken or I’m missing something

We are updating an RV that we bought for cheap. Unfortunately one of the things to be repaired it was the water heating system. The water heater was easy to install and it will warm up the water fairly quick. This portable water heater will be good for a small RV or under the sink of a regular home. It won't heat up the water of an entire home, but for our small RV, right what we needed.
