Everything works. It heated up a 5 gallon bucket of water pretty quickly. One thing to note, you may want to stir the water around every once in a while. It heats up much faster that way. It came with one rubber spacer installed at the end, and thew other two were included detached. The thermometer works, but does not turn off. I recommend flipping one of the button cell batteries when you arent using it. ... show more

I wanted to test it out so I tested it in the dish pan water and it heated up the water successfully. The thermometer appeared accurate.

This is a serious real deal mobile water heater for sure. Its not playing when you plug it in so follow directions because it draws a lot of power. That being said, it works so fast and does a tremendous job at heating up pools, tubs, and more.
