A lot of the reviews have covered the pros and cons of this on demand heater. My unit says it requires a 60 amp breaker, which is significant since many houses have just a 100 amp panel. Also 90% of folks are going to need to hire a professional to do the install on this. Even as someone with 20 years experience in the trades it’s right on the edge of my comfort zone putting something in that requires this much power. Better to follow the instructions and hire a professional. We haven’t installed this unit yet as our application will be for a summer use pottery studio. It’ll be a good way to have hot water for cleanup in the studio without taking up space with a conventional hot water heater/tank. The water will be turned off to the building in winter since it’ll be for summer use only. I would probably go with something else after seeing this close up. Electricity and water aren’t the kind of thing you should go cheap on when your house could be at stake if they fail catastrophically. ... show more

This tankless water heater is really nice to have. We have a shed out back where we have a sink. The hot water heater broke down, so instead of getting a new one, I got this one to try. My husband installed it easily. We have well water, so it's pretty cold, but it didn't take a whole lot of time for the water to start heating up with this water heater. I like the fact that you can see on the display the water temperature that's coming in from the ground, and the water temperature that is coming out of the sink. This water heater works well.
