  • Great buy!
Color: White
I am in love with this desk. It is sturdy and beautiful! I love that I can close the desk up and not have to see my laptop, headset, and paperwork. The color is a perfect white! My chair fits perfectly and the desk is super comfortable. Plenty of arm room so that my arms aren’t hanging off the desk which could cause wrist issues. The desk comes in pieces and it does require assembly. There are many pieces. I highly recommend using the paper dimensions vs the dimensions provided in the Amazon posting. There is a difference and you’ll need the paper/written dimensions. It is also a two person job to hang in my opinion. But once you get the brackets on and mounted it is super sturdy. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. ... show more

  • Great solution for relatively small spaces where you don't want a full-sized desk always in the way
Great product - my daughter LOVES it. Her last desk took up way too much space in her room - so wanted something compact - this is the perfect solution. The only negative reviews I've seen on this product are the relative difficulty of the installation. The unit is relatively heavy - which causes a couple problems. The first issue is that the provided template only has the spacing for the holes at the top. I recommend the manufacturer provide a template for the top holes AND the bottom holes - which is what I did before hanging - so I could put the wall anchors in place before trying to hang. The second issue is there is no way to balance the unit with one hand and line up the screw holes at the top which are hard to see. I used the box it came in - on it's side to balance the unit while lining up the top screws. My daughter kept it from pulling away from the wall as I did the alignment - and neither of us had to worry about the weight. She uses the desk almost daily and loves it. Great, great solution. ... show more

  • Great product, complicated instructions
Color: Black
This desk is perfect for small spaces. I bought this as an art desk and all the shelves are very useful for storage of supplies. My only complaint is that there aren't any words in the instructions, which leave you guessing, especially when it comes to attaching it to the wall. The front panel does not close all the way when the desk is folded up, but we simply attached a magnet strip to both sides and that seems to help it stay in place. Plan for 2 hours to fully assemble and attach to the wall. I have to say if it wasn't for my fiancé, this desk would still be on the floor, or better yet used as firewood. Make sure you have some tools, and carpentry knowledge on your side. That being said, once assembled fully this product is amazing! Its even big enough both of us to sit at and eat a meal. ... show more

  • A great DIY project
Color: White
So thanks to COVID-19 I had to organize an office in my small guest bedroom. I needed a desk that would be compact and ideally could be easily put away when guests stay in this room. This desk is exactly what I was looking for. One of the best things about this table is that you can customize it a million different ways. Here's a list of what I did to it: 1. Added a pattern to the front panel. 2. Reinforced the structure with the corner brackets as I didn't attach those shelves inside. 3. Spray painted the hardware with gold paint so it matches the lock and the pattern. 4. Attached a monitor wall mount inside of the box (we actually drilled through the back wall of the box and the wall and attached it to a stud). 5. Put self adhesive wallpaper on the back wall of the box. 6. Attached a few cork tiles to the back wall to make a bulletin board. 7. Attached a couple of dry erase magnet plates on the side of the box. 8. Attached a battery operated LED light. Overall, I think it’s decent quality and putting it together was easy. The hardest part was to hang it. My boyfriend and I did it ourselves and let's put it that way - I'm glad we're still together after we’ve done it :) He still doesn't trust our job and checks on me periodically to make sure I'm not buried under a pile of MDF or whatever this table is made of :) ... show more

  • Not bad, but definitely some issues.
Color: White
{1} READ the instructions. In the instructions, it clearly states that this unit is NOT meant to be installed into drywall. Had this information been mentioned in the description info on Amazon, I might not have purchased it. (2) The reason why they say that it is ONLY meant for concrete and wood walls, became clear very quickly. Most wall studs are placed 16" apart. The spacing for the mounting screws on this are about 21" apart. And while sure, one can use heavy load drywall anchors, I felt like there was a reason to heed the warning of the instructions. I'm not messing around with my 5 year olds safety. (3) With that said, I really like the idea of this desk, and came up with an alternative solution to the problem. I had 2 pine wood shelves from Home Depot not being used, and cut the length to fit the size of the desk. NOTE: It's super handy to have both a level as well as a laser level for this install. Place the sticker that is included as flush to the bottom of your wood as possible I mounted the wood onto the studs in the wall. The top one is 56.8 inches off the ground, which is where the manual instructs placement for the included decal with the screw placement diagram. Made sure wood was level. You can place the bottom piece now, or later. Your choice. I did it after making sure I could hang the piece properly. (4) ASSEMBLY: Not hard if you pay attention to the diagrams. All hardware was included. I did have a couple of issues though. 1. Those locking screw mechanisms.... There's ALWAYS one in every thing that is made with these things, that manages to not lock properly. No exception here. One of them doesnt want to sit flush. Likely because it ibent. I took it out, hammered it back to shape, no dice, same issue. So while I was able to assemble it, one screw is protruding a bit. Ugly, but not a deal breaker. I probably have a spare from all the IKEA crap I have, I'll try to replace it. 2. The latch. The parts go on easily, but when fully assembled and mounted, even though the latch pieces line up, they're a bit too far from each other vertically, and this makes it hard to lock. 3. When the unit is closed, the bottom hangs outwardly open about an inch. Sloppy. The instructions manual accounts for this by telling you that if this happens, to put the included felt padding on the bottom of the piece. Only problem is, even when taking off the thin felt which is pre installed, the thicker felt pieces they give you are WAY too thick, and you cannot seat the piece AT ALL. Derp. Fine. I'm sure I got some felt that will fit. ( Sigh ) (5) Before mounting the piece on the wall, you install parts F and G. They each install on the rear of the piece with 3 screws and are meant to join the screw in wall brackets. This is likely a ME problem, because I take things too literally at times. ( And I'm dense) Especially instructioms. The manual shows a series of 3 diagrams where you're unscrewing and screwing, in order to lift the mechanisms to meet the wall brackets. I felt it should have specified that you should do the screwing after mounting the piece on the wall. Otherwise, it's silly. Again.... That was likely a ME problem. One other gripe I have, which is not exclusive to this unit or company, is the use of crap MDF. It's not that much better than standard particle board, really. Would it kill companies to use a high density board? Sure, it would be a bit heavier, and a few bucks more, but it would also stand up to disassembly and reassembly more than onece and wouldn't fall apart. All that said, it works, is solidly on the wall, and looks pretty nice. Definitely a space saver for a small or crammed space. I removed one star for the lack of clear instructions posted on Amazon stating that this should not be hung on drywall. I won't risk putting even the best anchors in the wall because this is for a toddler. My solution to fasten solid wood on to the studs was successful, but shouldn't be necessary. I took another star off because one of the bolt screws doesn't sit flush, and even though the holes for both latch pieces line up, the holes are drilled too far apart and it is a struggle to close. Lastly. The company anticipated the bottom not staying flush when closed and included felt pieces to compensate. But those felt pieces are too thick and it won't close at all. Even with the original ones removed. Sure, maybe all small qualms, but it's still a PITA and shouldn't be necessary. Oh, and there's no decals included to cover the two giant left and right holes, leaving the chrome hardware exposed. So that's more I have to compensate for from my own stash. Huge deal? No, but all the little annoyances add up. ... show more
