I have several reasons why i need my sleeping area custom designed. This is due to a shoulder injury, as well as some kind of undiagnosed back issue. While my shoulder situation is something that has been identified and requires expensive surgery to fix; the other back/spine issue is mysterious in that it behaves differently with a mind seemingly of its own. This unpredictability in the pain occurrences, has led me to try every pillow design out there that is easily available. I have been happy with foam based designs with the memory foam being a favorite. While that kind of pillow comes close to alleviating my sleeping discomfort, i have bee longing for a bit or harder material yet still within a foam category. I am happy to say i have to look no further, due to this neat wedge style pillow from the Talcusble brand. This is available in drastically different sizes. I chose a super long type that travels across the width of a queen mattress. This wedge is specifically made to work with the back support of a headboard. This is important because it is very lightweight, so as to maintain a foamy consistency and therefore its super comfy. This wedge is not meant to be able to stand alone without the headboard. If you are creative, i am sure a method can be developed where this can be used on a free headboard-less mattress setup though i can't speak for that. I do not think there is a pillow case this long readily available, so i recommend using a satin sheet to wrap around it. I like how when this wedge is being use, i can double up with additional pillow or simply use one on top of it. The wedge then gives the sleeper many different ways to adjust the space from the mattress to where the head is positioned above it. You could incorporate smaller pillows then a larger one on top of the wedge. To conclude, i am super satisfied with this sleeping wedge and will be using this all the time. ... show more

I liked this bed wedge pillow very much. I originally chose it to review because I was looking for something to place our pillows on and give us some head/neck elevation, but unfortunately it wasn't very comfortable for either of us at night. Instead, we decided to flip it upside down and wedge it between the gap from our mattress and wall. We don't have a headboard, so our pillows tend to slide halfway down the gap. My husband also uses a CPAP machine and his mask tends to fall down between the bed gap also. This wedge has been very helpful in keeping our pillows on the bed and keeping his CPAP mask from falling down behind the bed. Overall I'm satisfied with this bed wedge gap pillow, and I was happy to give it 4 out of 5 stars. I would have given it 5 stars if it was a comfortable enough angle to place our pillows on without causing stain on our necks. ... show more
