When I purchased the tool, I was under the impression that it accepted the Dewalt style 20 volt Max batteries... I was wrong, and as soon as I saw the battery, I filed to return it. My search was for "Dewalt 20v Max buffer/polisher", and this model appeared to match that description. Batteries are not compatible, and I have several Dewalt batteries I used on other tools, mostly Dewalt but some off-shoot tools like my pruning shears and 6" chainsaw. Will have to see if the replacement I ordered uses the correct battery type...

The media could not be loaded. So far, there isn’t anything about this that I don’t love. I have owned many polishers like this, but all were corded electric. Some were lighter than others, but none as light as this one and the power cord always got in the way sooner or later. This one weighs in at 3.1 pounds with battery and a foam pad attached. How far will the 2 batteries take you is the question most will ask along with actual power. I waxed, then buffed a 4 door pickup truck and 2 door convertible on one charge from one battery. That battery still had a little life left in it. Both the batteries and the tool itself have battery charge indicators on them. As for power, my video isn’t super helpful as you can’t tell how much pressure I am applying, but I couldn’t get a dry sponge pad against my dry counter top to bog the motor down. In the video clip, at a low speed polisher setting, you can see the polisher wanting to hop a bit - that is not real life use as had I been using wax, etc. on the pad, that wouldn’t have happened. Speed selections should cover waxing and general polishing needs. I am using this for home car care by the way. I can’t compare this to what a pro would use, but for a guy that has 5 cars, and a couple fiberglass watercraft to maintain in the Florida heat and humidity, this is really working out well so far. My arms never tired and it is easy to hold and control, even one handed. Pad changes couldn’t be easier. It sits well upright (on battery pack) which I like as there is no chance of the pad picking up debris from otherwise laying it down. Plenty is included, including a pair of latex gloves and two disposable work aprons. I am perfectly satisfied with this polisher and think that overall this is an excellent value.

TAKUOO MODEL: Polisher-01 CORDLESS RECHARGEABLE BATTERY CAR BUFFER POLISHER MACHINE KIT is supplied with two batteries , apron, gloves, sponge polish pads, sandpaper, wool pads, polishing bonnets, polish rag and User Manual. The Buffer/Polishing Machine uses one battery for operation. A second battery is supplied. The unit is lightweight ( approximately less than 3 pounds ) with handhold in front and longer handle shaft. With my man hands I found the unit no issues to hold and operate. There are six speeds selected by a Rotary Switch on side. Numbers are on switch to identify selected speed. 1 through 3 is for buffing and higher 4-6 is polishing. This is a “ wobble “ type unit which means the 6 inch wheel does not operate in a consistent continuous circle. It has different movement as it turns in circle. I like the lighter weight of the battery unit as in my experience there is less chance of burning ( burnishing ) the paint from too much pressure. This kit comes with all I needed except my personal choice polish and storage/carry case for all components. The lightweight and available six (6) speeds are standout features for me. Recommended…. I genuinely couldn't be more impressed with this buffer. I tested a buffer through the Amazon Vine program in the past and was left thoroughly disappointed (it ran off mains power, had an absurdly short power cord, and the max RPM was nothing to write home about), so when I decided to give another model a try I set my sights low, expecting more disappointment. Nope. This thing is amazing. I ordered it to polish my faded and watermarked marble countertops, and while the results aren't all that great (nothing to do with the buffer - they just really need to be professionally refinished) the buffer itself is incredible. It comes with a spare battery that can be recharged free of the tool. The design is perfect, with comfortable grips for both hands and a rotation speed adjuster that can be easily reached with the thumb. It also comes with a range of buffing and polishing pads, plus a single disc of sandpaper in case you come across a tough job. This isn't just a step up from my previous buffer. It feels like an entirely different type of tool, it's so much better. Easy five stars from me.

The battery is sufficient to provide detailing several vehicles in a day. I use it for commercial purposes and I’m very pleased with the consistency. Light weight product that you don’t have to fight. Provides a clean, consistent pattern with minimal muscle. I’ve had similar products that required significant muscle to use. This has a really strong motor that will provide a clean, smooth detail. Have not had any issues with paint damage or scaring. I’ve used it to detail my fathers 63 corvette that has 25 year old paint and I’m not afraid to use this- haven’t had any issues with paint damage. Highly recommend- especially for residential or commercial use. You will be pleased with the quality and battery life. You will not have to fight to provide a great detail
