This is a very versatile little power station. It would be phenomenal for car tent camping (which we did a lot of in our younger days), but no backpacker would lug this thing around (it weighs 1059g or 2.33 lb). It's also great for power outages at the house and for a handy portable source of DC power, which are the applications I will be using it for. The heart of this power station is a 7.5Ah 14.8V battery having a storage capacity of 111Wh. The battery is charged using either the included 19V 1.5A output 120VAC charger or with a solar panel with the correct plug (3.5mm barrel) having an output voltage of 15V-22V (not included). The power station has a small 120VAC inverter (80W continuous, 120W peak) powering 2 outlets (1 three-prong and 1 two-prong). The inverter produces modified sine-wave output, which is fine for many devices but doesn't work well to power AC electric motors. Also, be aware that 80W is not very much power: it won't run your refrigerator or microwave or coffee maker, but it's fine for LED lights or to power nearly all sorts of device chargers. The power station also has 4 regular USB outlets: 2 are standard 5V 2.4A outlets and 2 are Qualcomm QuickCharge 3.0 compliant outlets that provide 5V, 9V or 12V (15W-18W max) depending on what the device being charged calls for. In addition, it has a USB-C port with the same output specs. There is also a DC outlet (fits a 5.5mm barrel connector) with a maximum output current of 13A and a voltage of 12V-16.8V (depending on the state of charge of the battery). I measured this voltage to be 16.4V (fully charged battery). The instructions caution that devices that cannot handle voltage at the upper end of this range could be damaged if plugged into this outlet. Finally, the power station has two lights: a dual-beam focused flashlight and a light panel that provides more diffuse illumination. There is a switch for each of the two lights, to turn on the DC ports, and to turn on the AC inverter. Included in the box is a 19V 1.5A charger and a 12VDC cigarette lighter outlet dongle adapter. This power station is a really nice, well-constructed little device that functions perfectly within its limits. I am very happy with it.

The TAKKI model s81 Max with a capacity of 111Wh is a well-rounded small power bank that allows not only for USB but also AC devices with up to 80W continuous draw. I consider a power capacity of around 100 Wh as a minimum for a power bank nowadays if you need a little more than just a phone charger bank. With 30000mAh capacity (at a 3.7 V base) it will allow to charge multiple devices on the Go and the AC outlets allow for smaller devices light Laptops or LED lights that have an AC plug. The 111Wh are calculated as 7.5Ah at 14.8V for this unit. This little power bank could in theory power a car refrigerator as well but not for long enough and for that type of devices I would suggest more powerful power banks. This S81 Max is due to its small form factor ideal for travelling, taking it into hotel rooms, RVs, cars, or camping. It comes with an AC charger and a cigarette lighter adapter output. Best use is for charging multiple small electronic devices at the same time, and generally speaking, as a backup power bank for that type of use. I charged the device with a solar panel, and it worked well -- unfortunately, there's no charger cable for the solar input provided, meaning, you'll need your own cable. Suitable solar panel may not exceed Voc (open circuit voltage) of 22V according to the manual. The battery status is a simple 4-bar illuminated indicator. Indoors it is bright enough, in full sunlight outdoors it is difficult to see. I would have preferred a 'real' display with the actual percentage indicator. The charging lifecycle is according to the manual >500 -- so, keep in mind that these budget friendly power banks are located in the entry -level field and not be seen and compared to the high-performance market. Otherwise, all buttons are working smoothly, and the outputs are easy to reach and see. There are two lights on this power bank: 1 at the front side where the USB / AC outlets are, and there is also a Flashlight on the front side. I found the general light next to the outlets helpful in dark environment when you need to find the right outlet. It is a decent entry level power station; I like the small size and the versatile use. Price-value relation is in line with the market that is, of course, an ever-changing market.
