I have small fingers and fingernails (in width) and these are about 5mm too short for my thumbs - like they are about 1mm too small even on the nail itself and you need tweezers to get them off since there's no overhang onto the skin. Meanwhile, on my pinky they practically go all the way around and are long enough on my other fingers to lift off with my fingers themselves, and you have to remove them ASAP or else you ruin the design. The V-shape isn't really a V shape tip guide - they are more of a pointed curve that is wider in the center and those are great for almond or stiletto shape nails but are the most narrow and difficult to position straight without wrinkling and the smallest on my thumbs. Since I only wanted french tip guides this was a great set though, even if they could have been a bit longer for thumbs.

I am a beginner at doing all the latest nail styles and these are a perfect product to start with. Such a value! These tips come in many styles and sizes. I have large hands with wide nails and am pleased that each style fits across my natural nail tips. These are extremely easy to place and remove. It is important to use a good quality base coat and to let that coat completely dry prior to putting them on. The removal is so easy and clean when done this way. There is no ripping or tearing. Very durable. I was equally thrilled at the final product. My nails looked so beautiful, even for a first attempt. You will be very pleased with this product, price and quantity!

Let me start off by qualifying a bit. I've been doing my own nails for about a decade. Everything from acrylic extensions to polygel to gel x tips, etc., so I've "been around the block" of nail land. I can do nail art, I can draw shapes, write letters, and don't even flood my cuticles when painting......but I cant do a french tip to save my life lol. I got these stencils to help annnnnnnnnnd they're not good lol. I tried making sure my nails were completely cured. I tried even buffing the nail before applying and could NOT get them to stick. One side kept peeling off no matter what I did. It seems some ppl had luck in the reviews, so Im thinking....if you use regular polish you might be good? But im gonna say gel is a no go...and thats all i use. Even when i could get them to stick for a few seconds longer, the polish would bleed through anyway. Im gonna keep trying & maybe try stamping with a sponge & see if that works... Because these ARE a good price for SO MANY stickers..... there just has to be better on the market.
