This isn't my first pair of TAGRY earbuds, and by the looks of things, they won't be my last! To start off, I'm a bit of an audio snob. Not the pretentious type, but enough where I can differentiate between good/great and not great/terrible. Moving on... PACKAGING - Like most people, the packaging speaks volumes about a product. It's the first thing you see when something is presented to you, so in a lot of ways, it's the company making a first impression. This packaging, while not mind-blowingly impressive, was at the very least, well presented. Everything looked adequately protected, but the packaging was just a little sloppy and the box was dented a bit. That is most certainly not TAGRY's fault though as I'm sure it was dented in shipping. I like a packaging that can be saved in case you wish to resell the item later and retain it's original packaging, and this delivers on that end. CASE - Even more important than packaging is an earbuds case. They're how they're transported, so you're tied to that case everywhere you take the buds. This case, while a bit large and bulky, is not entirely unmanageable. It's got a nice feel to it in the hand. It doesn't feel like top-shelf quality, but also doesn't feel cheap. It feels adequate. I love that it has a USB-C charging port, but don't love that the port does not have a dust cover, especially on something that spends so much time in ones pocket where lint is a real issue. I noticed the edges of the case were also a little lacking in overall production as the edges were a but sharp and could be smoothed out a little in the manufacturing process. The lid is held shut fairly firmly with a magnet and is at no risk of accidentally opening, but is still pretty easy to open. However, the lid is not secured in the open position at all and is prone to easily falling shut. The lid's hinge feels VERY fragile and feels like it would break very easily, and this to me is probably the biggest problem. I would absolutely make sure the lid is closed whenever possible for this reason. One really nice touch is inside the case you have the indicators telling you the battery level and charging status. That always felt a little gimmicky to me before, but with these buds, it's presented very nicely and is a welcome addition! ALSO IN THE BOX - Included is your run of the mill silicone tips in 3 sizes. The medium size comes pre-installed but I needed to upgrade to the large size to get a better seal. Also included is a very cheap, comically short USB-C charging cable that went straight into the trash. It would work in a survival situation, but come on... PAIRING - Short and easy. Popped the earbuds in and they immediately went into pairing mode automatically. The earbuds auto-connect and disconnect when taken out of or placed back into the case. Easy peasy. FIT - Earbuds with hooks are inherently tricky to put on and can be awkward at first until you get it down, so there's no way around that. That being said, they are pretty easy to get on and take off and when they're on, they're shockingly comfortable. I usually despise earhooks as I find them very invasive and uncomfortable, but these ones were none of those things. The hooks just gently sit behind your ear not poking or scratching at all. The hooks are certainly well made, flexible and do not feel cheap. I am confident they are not at any risk of breaking. The hooks also can accommodate many different ear sizes as I have fairly large ears and they still fit with room to spare. The key phrase here is "room to spare". On that note, we move on to... THE SHAKE TEST - These buds pass the shake test, but only because they're literally hooked to your ears. That means they don't fall of when you shake your head, sure, but you will be losing a good seal frequently with these buds based on the fact that the bud it's self is significantly heavier than the earhooks. This means the hooks will of course keep them on your ears, but offer no stability to the buds ear placement whatsoever. Some aftermarket ear tips would probably alleviate this issue though. THE BUTTONS - These buds come with a multi-function click button on each bud. The buttons work fine, all the preset functions with flawlessly (at least on Android) and are very clicky for that nice confirmation. The buttons are raised just enough to not look poor, but they do feel a little bit cheap. The long press to +/- volume is a nice touch, but the progression of volume change is agonizingly slow. MICROPHONE - Average for this price range. People could hear me, but the sound was very lacking in quality. That being said, the sound quality was adequate enough. AND FINALLY, THE SOUND! - Oh boy, this is why I keep buying TAGRY earbuds, despite having several WAY more expensive pairs. Now remember while reading this part that these earbuds only cost $30!!! These things sound amazing. They really do. The max volume is much higher and better sounding that just about any other earbud on the market anywhere near this price range. It does fall just short of the satisfyingly loud you want when your favorite jam comes on, but like I said, for $30 I was absolutely gobsmacked. Excellent seperation, excellent highs and lows, decent mids and impressive simulated bass, even on tracks like Post Malone's "Wow". Now all this, unfortunately, falls back to what I said earlier about the good seal being lost fairly easily when moving about. If you're able to keep a good seal (whether it be with aftermarket tips or maybe you're just fortunate enough to have the right sized ear canals) you WILL be enjoying really, really good sound in every aspect. No, they're not going to sound quite as good as the buds that cost several hundred dollars, but again, THEY'RE ONLY $30!!! These are light years beyond what I would have expected for that price. I will not only be keeping these, but they will be added to my regular rotation as they're the first pair of hooked buds I can actually wear when doing anything active. RECOMMENDED? - YES! A thousand times YES! Even if you already have really expensive buds, these are outstanding quality on the cheap to use when you don't want to risk using those buds that set you back half a paycheck. I would be very surprised to hear anyone say they were dissatisfied with these buds for that price. Buy 'em. OVERALL SCORE - In this price range, the buds alone get an easy 9/10 for sound quality and a 7/10 for design. The case gets a 6/10 as it's a fine case, but loses a lot of points due to the sharp edges and incredibly fragile hinge.

I was informed that these were on sale by the company and was excited about the newer design. The fact that the company reached out to a previous customer to inform them that they had a new design out is a prime example of their dedication to keeping customers happy. After ordering I was excited to see how they came. When I received my earphones shipping time was quickly and the package was well protected by amazon. Opening the box you see there are instructions, a small blue box that contains the charger and the box with earphones within. Everything was neatly packaged. The instructions were clear and easy to understand when setting up to charge and connecting to Bluetooth. The automatic feature that connects the headphones together when they are pulled from the charging case cuts down on set up time. After removing the small plastic tabs that cover the charging connectors on the earphones and charging the case and headphones for 1H, like the instructions explain to do, they are ready for use. They come with the Medium rubber insert already on them. This size fit the best for me. The headphones offer clear and crisp sound with some sound deadening to surrounding noises. I had the older model and these offer a newer design. The charging case gives clear information to which earphone is charging and when they are full. Also if the case is charging you can tell by the illuminated number display on the left side. I grabbed these because I needed another set around the house. The case is slightly larger than the older model so these will probably remain around the house. The older versions will become my travel set since the case is slightly smaller. I have attached several photos from when I was opening the package. The over the ear rubber tabs offer some customizable fitment in case you plan on doing some rigorous movements while wearing these. The provided charging cord is a little short but can be easily tucked into a backpack or pocket for travel. Thankfully it is a common charging cord, so finding one that is a little bit longer should not be difficult if you were wanting to charging this with a wall plug. According to the instructions if unused for 5 minutes the earphones will automatically shut off. When removed from the charging case the earphones will automatically turn on and connect to the last device connected as well as each other. Each earphone can be used in a single mode if you only want to wear one. Each earphone has a single button that can be used to control the song you are listening to, the volume, accepting and ending phone calls. If the headphone turns off while you are wearing simply push and hold the button for two seconds and it will turn back on. If you would like to turn it off push and hold the button for five seconds. All important information and uses can be located in the instruction manual.

This is the 4th product I have from Tagry. In every case they've gone above and beyond in quality and service. They're also competitively priced (which is a rare combination...usually you have to pick 2 out of 3--among price/quality/service). My first product I purchased from them was a pair of ear buds that I'm wearing right now on the plane in which I'm typing this review...still as crystal clear sound as day one when I bought them about 3 years ago. Being an overseas company I was willing to take a risk on the quality (given the reviews and the price), but what surprised me most was the service...not that I had problems with the units or anything, I just had a question and they answered me quickly, thoroughly, and in complete sentences (which you don't always get from an overseas source). Recently that original pair started pairing even when they were in the case (which is annoying), but they told me to clean the contact connectors with rubbing alcohol to clean them--again, great customer service. This review is actually about the SPORT EARBUDS though...well, I put them on, went on my 18-mile bike ride and was beyond impressed with how 1. comfortable they were 2. how they provided excellent sound even with the wind noise (which prevented me from hearing well on my old earbuds {expensive ones to boot}) and 3. how they stayed in place from start to finish (TMI: my ears are shaped funny and they're different in size/shape from each other, so I don't hold even "hang on your ear" earbuds well, but these were exceptional.) I'll only buy Tagry from now on (and recommend other to as well).
