I'm very happy with this purchase. Although the sale appears to be gray market (not manufacturer approved retailer or method) as indicated by the non-manufacturer warranty, it arrived in its manufacturer TAG Heuer box, neatly packaged and brand new as described. Some people might be reluctant to buy such a high-quality and expensive item via Amazon.com, but I had to take the chance. The cost saving was too irresistible to pass. I had to make a judgement regarding warranties. Warranties can be great to protect one from particular defects in manufacturing. This watch comes with a warranty independent of the manufacturer, and so consumers may be uncomfortable with the possible hassle of exercising it. However, all warranties - manufacturer or independent - are somewhat a hassle to exercise. I've rarely ever even needed to turn to a warranty in my whole life (though I may have, at the moment I can't think of any). Of course, I've returned defective products many times, and in the case of Amazon.com, their customer service is always remarkable. But using warranties - rarely, if ever. So I placed very little importance on the difference in warranties for this purchase and I saved hundreds of dollars on a wonderful, perfectly brand new, stunning watch. I received this for Christmas last year and couldn't be more proud of my husband's taste! It is the perfect size, looks classy and is excellent quality. I swim with it and it is certainly waterproof. Plus, it keeps perfect time. The only drawback I can barely see it in the dark (although the numbers are supposed to glow in the dark). ... show more
