    • Great Value In A Beautiful Watch
I had been considering the purchase of a TAG watch for several years. After shopping at an authorized TAG dealers in St. Louis who offered very little in store inventory to view, I began shopping online for a 'grey market" watch. I found that Amazon offered a competitive price on this watch when compared to prices offered of as high as $2,400 ($2,640 with tax) at local authorized dealers. My ability to purchase directly from Amazon and my confidence in them standing behind my purchase made the $1,110 savings more than offset the fact that I would not receive the TAG 2 year factory warranty. I took the watch to my jeweler for fitting and he confirmed that it was an authentic tag watch. After a week the watch has gained 29 seconds (4.14 seconds/day average) which is outstanding for an automatic watch. It is helpful to note that you must wind the watch fully by hand when received to ensure it operates to its full potential. The watch is beautiful. I especially appreciate it's elegant simplicity and the relatively small 39 millimeters case diameter. All in all, an excellent value in a finely made, durable Swiss automatic watch offering simple style and elegance. ... show more

I agonized about this purchase, including whether or not to get a gray market version (from Amazon) vs. from an authorized dealer. I finally decided that it was worth the price difference to me to get it on Amazon instead of paying full (authorized) retail. The watch looks great, gets lots of complements, and keeps very accurate time. Mine is accurate within about 2 seconds per day, which is very, very good for an automatic watch.
