I bought this watch on whim before a trip to New York. I tend to get nervous wearing my the $10k+ Rolex And Piaget(embarrassed to say what Emperador cost.) watches out late nights at the particular spots I tend to end up while in the city that never sleeps. I bought it because of the elegant styling that would fit in at Keen's steakhouse and the Waldorf Astorias Bull bar on Park Ave. Or Lex or Lombardi's on Spring in Little Italy. Also, being a submariner owner, I liked the fact the face of this Tag is almost as big as the Face AND bezel of Subs. It's 25 jewel movement is decent. Most Lux brands reserve this price point for their Quartz mov't lines or 17 jewel Japanese mov't's(sometimes they just slap a swatch movement in there. I know, most makers start with a swatch mov't and modify... That's another story). My only issue is the reported '38 hour reserve'. In my experience, it's more like 24. I took it off after diner one night went to the recording studio sans watch and when I went to put it on before going out that night for a late diner, it had already stopped. The watch had been hand wound(nerves before my jet took off. Ha.) and worn for 3 days solid. More than enough time to fully wind it. Now, My Yachtmaster is Roughly the same(suppose last much longer.) and is being looked at as we speak. It may not be a knock on the watch as a whole... Just the one I have. Time will tell It would be a great gift to a husband with a collection or a graduation gift to that son off to Med, Law, or even a trade school(the later students are getting the last laugh it would seem). Don't forget, the watch comes in a bracelet version if it's to be more of everyday watch as opposed to dress watch. Well worth the money. You'd be hard pressed to find an authentic Swiss Made Automatic watch carrying a luxury watch maker's Monarcher for this price used! Hope this helps. ... show more

    • Beware cost games and poor communication.
Watch is nice enough, 41mm smaller than it sounds. Terrible communication from seller and they lowered price 150.00 less than 24hrs after purchase, before ship and wouldn't make up difference. So beware.

This is hands down a watch which is worth its value. The alligator band is flawless and made to last. What more could you want with having the Swiss movement?

My husband had to take the watch to the jeweler to have the band fitted. The charge was $25.00 as the directions that came with the watch were awful and neither of us could not figure it out.
