  • Watch never worked - and I can't get anyone to replace or repair it under warranty
I thought I was purchasing a "high-end" watch, but I clearly got a defective timepiece. This watch does not keep time, and has not since I got it 10 months ago. I tried to return it to the seller (Dexclusive), but they would not honor a return as I was contacting them after the 30-day window they establish as their cut off for returns. They assured me that if I sent it in, they would inspect and fix any issues. I sent it to them, didn't hear a thing back and then 6 weeks later my watch shows up in the mail. No communication whatsoever and no letter / repair summary with the watch. Just a slip of paper the size of a credit card receipt with some faded, hard to read numbers on it. I call and then email - they assure me they inspected the watch and told me they gave it an "overhaul - new gaskets...basically you now have a brand new watch". It was not fixed, and still continued to run slow. So, I contact Amazon and they tell me that they have a two year warranty and that the claims are managed through a third party (Assurion). I send it to Assurions repair shop. When they return the watch they tell me they set my watch on an automatic winder for 24 hours and observed it for "up to 48 hours" and they are confident the watch functions perfectly normal. I get the watch back...same problem continues. I woke up this morning (with my watch on my wrist) and it is 6 hours slow. Last week I look down in the middle of the day and it is 3 hours slow (and it was on time that morning). I went to a local TAG-authorized dealer, they tell me that without the original TAG certificate they will not honor any warranty claim. I go to another well-known shop and describe the issue....they say they are confident they know what is wrong and this is a pretty straight forward repair. I now have to pay them to get the watch repaired - and I have owned it less than a year. I've been a faithful, satisfied Amazon customer for 10+ years....never had any problems when something was wrong. Yet, I purchase a $1,400 watch and they want nothing to do with me and refuse the help make this right. Their warranty partner is a joke. Word to the wise - DO NOT BUY A WATCH ON AMAZON!! ... show more

Really Beautiful

  • All Form, No Function
While I did not buy this watch through Amazon, I thought my review may help guide someone who is considering acquiring one. Don’t. It is indeed a beautiful watch but that is where the accolades end. It does not keep accurate time. Plain and simple. It will lose/gain a few minutes each week. I keep it on a wonder when not being worn. If it is kept in the winder for more than a day it will run down. Getting it serviced through their warranty center takes an act of Congress and frankly serves to dissuade one to even try. In contrast, I have a ‘lowly’ Vostok Komandirskie that is vastly more accurate (+/- 2 sec per day). If you do purchase this watch don’t count on it too much. You find that you miss an important appointment. ... show more
