Ordered this tablet for my 8 year old daughter. The charger broke the first day we got it. It ran slow and seemed to have functionality issues. Then not even a week later it died and simply wouldn’t turn back on. I tried a handful of chargers that fit it at my home and different outlets and everything I could think of and it just wouldn’t come back on. It was a disappointment to say the least. This is my initial impression. It MAY change. The display is beautiful, but the tablet is useless because there is no manual. ANYWHERE. Including online. Google's heavy hand is immediately apparent. Apparently the tablet does nothing unless you are connected to the internet. Google states they will search anything on your local network whether you agree or not. You have to be connected to Google to do pretty much anything, and as a professional internet security expert, I'm not willing to give google a free hand searching my network. This is a prime privacy destroyer. If you decide NOT to connect it to your home network, it's a pretty face that does pretty much nothing. At all. It claims it had a built in stand. WRONG. There is something that COULD be a stand, but the tablet just slides right off of the base of the stand - unless you TAPE IT IN PLACE. The keyboard does nothing. It does not connect to the tablet. That makes it useless. At this point the only thing that works is the stylus. The screen orientation goes sideways when you try to access any apps. I found setup rather simple, but it still DOES nothing but display what I presume is a home page. I've found virtually no way to control the bugger. Google is controlling everything, and unless you're connected to the internet, the tablet basically just displays the home page. Which is beautiful, but static, meaning it is useless. Google wants you to give it all of your passwords, contacts and data. Meaning google is going to invade your privacy and scarf up everything it can ready. Google states they will go onto any device on your network and steal anything they want, and there's no way to disable that. Well, at least it was cheap. Meaning I'm only out $40 bucks because I'm NOT going to give google access to my net or any device on my network, so I won't be able to use this turkey. At all. I'd give it a 98% chance of being returned for a refund. Which sucks, because I had high hopes that it would be a workhorse I could carry easily. I'm back to my old OLD Coby Kyros tablets, which I love because it does NOT steal my data OR invade my privacy. And yes, the Coby is an android tablet. Oh, well. We all know that google has absolutely no regard for user privacy, and this tablet stabs their disregard for privacy in your heart. At this point I'd give it NEGATIVE 5 stars if Amazon would let me. If you don't care at all about your privacy, you'll probably like this tablet. It is really thin. The basics seem to work and it is quite light in weight. The accessories that I've been able to get to work seem to work well. I can't get the keyboard to work. The mouse doesn't work. The stylus DOES work, but there's nothing for it to actually DO since I use it where there is no wifi. It has no alternative. JUST wifi. I use wifi for streaming in my living room, but the wifidoesn't reach where I work with my computers. I'm actually glad, because at least I discovered what a privacy invader this turkey is before it had a chance to phone home to google with all my data! I think this would be great for children, except that google would put them at risk. There's no option I can find to use a safer browser like Firefox, nor to use a safe search engine like DuckDuckGo. I can say the display is beautiful. Sadly I can't say anything else positive about it! Save your money. Don't buy this paperweight! This is a SECOND THOUGHT, days later. Young people these days have no regard to privacy. They allow pretty much anyone to have their personally identifiable information. This is a chromebook wannabe. Everyone who uses google, facebook or any other application that they allow to steal their data will absolutely LOVE this tablet. It's android 11, and it is a beautiful lablet.
