It’s lightweight and very adjustable. I lost the instructions so I didn’t realize the crossbar you set the canvas on attaches by sliding into the screws in front and then you Velcro the back leg to keep it steady. Make sure you get the tall pole part facing the correct direction. I had it in backwards. . It’s also adjustable and clamps down. It’s easy, and there’s a couple of video reviews here that shows how to put it together that makes it easier. Works for me. ... show more

This is a nice easel - VERY adjustable in sizes. That part is really good. I had a problalem securing a canvas board at the top. The height adjustment is good but to hold a thinn canvas board the top clamp was very difficult to secure (clamp). Unless you are working with framed canvases of at least 1/2" thickness, you may have to be creative to get it clamped in at top. I tried to show this in the photo. I use an eraser to add thickness to clamp a backboard tight. Then, I tape my canvas onto the board. Not ideal. I should have returned it but I am making it work ... show more
