I bought this for crabbing and it did not disappoint. I left it out in the sun for the month of September and October where it was sunny every day, against the recommendation of the manufacturer, but the sup held up well. It tracks fairly decent however unlike a canoe with a j stroke you really do have to switch sides every 3 to 5 strokes to go straight depending on current and wind. You can pick up cheaper ISUPs but none come with a much worth it light fiberglass paddle and a very rugged and roomy back pack. The pump is also very well made as well. I did not think that the deflation valve on the pump was worth anything but I find that wrong as it allows you to really deflate the board for compact storage. I have about 10 hours and over 20 usages on this board already and it has yet to disappoint. It takes a good 15 minutes from depacking to flotation. This was also rated number one on a website that appeared to be impartial. Full disclosure I also bought ones for only $100 each and to be honest they appear to be narrower but of equal quality ( however they have not lasted the test of time and sun exposure-- with aluminum paddle and cheap backpack) This board also has limited rocker which is not bad in itself but makes less useful on the ocean in big waves. As far as stability I was able to handle 3 crab traps without even a hint of lack of stability. I sometimes bring my dog and never worry about falling off. I really think you cant go wrong. In the past, I bought inflatable kayaks -- a burden to transport. Hard shell are good but they do not have the versatility of and speed of an ISUP. Canoes are heavy and pain to track in strong winds. I wish I bought one of these first.

Great board! Easy to inflate with handheld pump. Took my daughter and her friend about 6 minutes to inflate. Love the colors of the light blue - did not realize there was some light pink/peach coloring to both the board and paddle - so guys, if you're looking at this, may want to reconsider if you don't want any "girly" colors. FYI - would not recommend inflating in the hotel/condo room and then trying to maneuver it down the stairs - a bit of a challenge. Unfortunately it got a little scratched up on the ends (boo), too. I would recommend maybe starting to inflate in the room and then finish by the water or just do the whole thing by the water. Friend who were with us could not get over how light it was compared to theirs. 10/10 in our books!

Shipping was pretty quick and the packaging was good. Nothing was damaged during shipping. For the price point this is a good SUP board. It great for those that are limited for storage. I really like the convenience of a inflatable board. It is thick and sturdy. It comes with everything you need to get out on the water. It’s pretty lightweight and easy to pack around. This is where the disadvantage comes in with an inflatable board though. Because of the inflatable board being lighter it can be hard to paddle on windy days. If your in choppy waters or anything then it can get a little hard to get around. It’s better to be used on calm days in calm waters. It would probably be wise to upgrade the paddle. It works but it’s always nice to have a good paddle. In all it’s a great buy for the price and I would definitely recommend.

The media could not be loaded. I absolutely love this paddle board. It inflates and deflates much quicker than the boards I've had. It is very sturdy like hard boards, durable and very lightweight! This paddle board is so stable on flat or wavy waters I could even dangle my feet off the board without it flipping over. The paddles are as light as the carbon ones.

My first inflatable paddle board was slightly cheaper, and unsurprisingly not as good. This has a removable fin, so ot fits easier into the bag, and also has mich better bag. The bag has a cushioned back, multiple handles to grab from, and a high quality zipper that won't break easily. The board is easy to set up and take down. 5 stars!

I've ordered a replacement due to couple flaws and disappointmentin quailty. Worried it won't last for daily water use. Not sure if this one was poorly made, bad repairs, or used. I compared to others reviews on this paddleboard and I don't see the same issues. Hopefully the replacement will be better. Will update review if it's better then this one. Good notes, Inflated nicely, deflated quieter then others I've had used in the past. It is very thick and has a beautiful color.

I love this thing! The fact that it is portable and inflatable made me choose this SUP over others - that said, it isn't light and it might not be easy to inflate for some people, but you will get lovely arm muscles if you don't already have some (-: You could buy an electric or battery powered pump, I suppose... The surfstar handles well on breezy, choppy days (the picture is from a lake) as well as calm currents (the other picture is on the James River in Richmond, Virginia, USA). The paddle moves the water well and is adjustable to different lengths. You do have to get your own life preserver and I have to add that I have a GoPro but I haven't tried the mount yet.
