I recently purchased the S107H-E RC Helicopter for my child (and a little fun for myself!), and I have to say, it’s an excellent choice for beginners. The helicopter is very easy to control, thanks to its gyro stabilizer, which helps keep it steady in the air. It’s a great introduction to the world of remote-controlled helicopters for anyone new to the hobby. One of the standout features is the altitude hold function. It makes flying so much easier by automatically keeping the helicopter at a consistent height, so you can focus on flying without constantly adjusting the throttle. The gyro stabilizer really makes a difference. Even when you’re learning, the helicopter stays fairly stable, which helps boost confidence for beginners. The build quality is pretty solid, and it can handle a few crashes without significant damage. Great for kids who are still mastering their flying skills! The 3.5 channels (forward/backward, left/right, up/down, and a slight rotation) make it relatively simple to navigate, even for younger users. One thing that really surprised me was how well it holds its altitude. You can get it to a certain height and it just stays there, no constant throttle adjusting needed. That made flying it way easier, especially for a beginner like me (and my kid, of course). The controls are super straightforward—forward, backward, side to side, and a bit of rotation. Nothing too fancy, but enough to make it feel like you’re really piloting something. It’s simple enough for kids to get the hang of quickly, but still fun for adults messing around indoors. Durability-wise, it’s holding up great. It’s already survived a few hard landings and unexpected wall collisions, and it’s still going strong. That’s a big deal if little hands are going to be flying it. I picked it up mainly as a gift for my child, but let’s be honest—I wanted to fly it too. And honestly, it’s been a lot of fun. For something on the affordable side, it’s surprisingly solid. The built-in stabilizer keeps it from feeling chaotic in the air, which really helps when you’re learning. Size-wise, it’s perfect for flying indoors, but it doesn’t feel weak or flimsy. It’s got just enough power to keep things interesting. It flies good. But I've had it less than a month and the power switch just snapped off, so no way to turn it on or off. Probably about 10 flights total. Sent emails to Syma through warranty, and their company email with no response yet. Also initiated a replacement through Amazon, but had to connect with the seller, which is syma, and no response yet. So, its a cool little toy. Works well, till it breaks. You might get more life out of it than I did. But for the money, I wouldn't have expected it to break so soon. **********UPDATE**************** Syma offered me a choice of a refund or a replacement. I chose replacement, and that was a mistake. They sent me a new one. But this doesn't stay bound to the controller. The left stick is more like an on/off switch for the rotors than anything else. It's essentially unflyable. 1. left stick up full power. Stays at full power till midpoint where it basically goes into idle. Push the stick back up, and about half the time the rotors don't spin back up. 2. Rotors go to idle without any input from the throttle. I had the original one figured out and could fly it pretty well. So, I'd say avoid these. You might get a good one. You might get a cool-looking paper weight. That's what I seem to have gotten. And if your breaks and they offer you a refund or replacement, take the refund. No promises your replacement will be any good.

My 9 yr old son is obsessed with helicopters and this was perfect for him. Its durable enough for a beginner and to survive countless crashes. Please read the manual because sometimes after crashes it will need to be recalibrated. Also, it never hurts to have an eyeglass repair kit for the extra screws should you lose one or two. Only complaint, the 15 min max air time. Still worth every penny.
