I chose this for my 8-year-old because I wanted a drone that was easy to handle and suitable for indoor use. The obstacle sensors and the fact that it comes with two batteries caught my attention. Out of the box, the drone and the controller feel appropriate for the recommended age range. The propeller guards help prevent damage to walls or furniture during the learning phase. In use, my son was able to get the hang of it fairly quickly. The sensors work as intended and reduce crashes, which makes the learning process easier.
