Ridiculous how much I love these bike racks. I mounted them on 16 inch centers so I varied the height of the mounts to make the bikes fit. If you want the bikes closer to the wall consider mounting them at least 32 and possibly 48 inches apart. They’re sturdy and mounting wasn’t difficult once I found the wall studs. Excellent storage for both road and mountain bikes. Fits my 60mm deep carbon road wheels and my 29er with 2.4 tires. The ability to rotate/swivel the bikes once mounted is really useful for storing, but also for mounting/dismounting bicycles easily.
