Purchased as a gift to my Husband for Father's Day as we live on the Gulf Coast, this drone is absolutely amazing to say the least. It carries the bait out for our lines with no problem, we're considerate of the winds when flying but it withstood 10 mi/hr winds with grace. We've spent the last few weeks down on the surf fishing. Definitely want to have back up spare batteries or a way to re-charge as it can go for about 4-5 trips (30 min fight time) and then needs recharged. After reading the instruction manual and calibrating the compass I launched the drone and after it hovered for about 1 second in the air, it crashed from the sky cutting my pants and leg with no remote response. Fortunately it hit me and not one of my children. I watched several videos and recalibrated the drone and decided to try again ( 10 on GPS signal). Flew up to about 30ft and tried to hover and drone to nose dive into ground. When I picked up the blades starting spinning without any remote controls. I expected a quality simple fishing drone at this price and was delivered junk. I have returned and will not be buying another swellpro. ... show more

    • Very tough drone but I recommend getting the optional warranty
This drone was bought for me as a gift. I opted to spend a little of my own to get the warranty and glad I did. The drone itself takes some practice but does the job for sure. It’s. A work horse and Carries heavy payloads even in heavy wind. Mine had some gps issues that causes it to fail which led me to have to send it in for repair. I recommend if you have any issues do not try to let them repair it, return it for a replacement if the window is still open. The body is very sturdy and holds up well. Mine hit the water a couple times with no damage or leak. Since my review is of the item and not the seller, it’s better. If I were eating the seller (dominion drones) it would be a one star. They have horrible customer service and a worse repair service, had it not been for the optional warranty I would have lost $1200. Fortunately the insurance replaced my drone where the seller didn’t do anything but offer to sell me another one. ... show more

I have owned other drones which I use for land based shark fishing. This drone has features that make it easy for a novice to use. It performs extremely well in rain and wind. It exceeds my expectations and outperforms other Dones I've used for my shark fishing!

The manufacturer does not support its products. Please don’t waste your money like I did. The controller randomly went into firmware update mode and won’t get out of it, so I contacted the manufacturer. They told me to contact Amazon for support, sent my a 10 second video of two people fumbling with the controller and randomly pressing buttons while arguing in Chinese. ... show more

I purchased this product because i needed a drone for fishing. When it arrived it was well packaged But you can tell the materials on the drone are bit cheap. The drone itself its made of a cheap feel plastic as well for the controller which feels like a toy. Although the controller requires batteries to function which they not are included on the package. This was kind let down as for a 1k+ drone i would have expected a better build quality. Overall, i didn’t had the chance to fly the drone but i guess it does the work to fly and release bait, i would buy only if its for that purpose otherwise it does not feel as a high end drone. ... show more
