Paper sticks work better. Cake balls want to slide off the plastic. For fifty cents more I should have bought the paper ones, didn’t realize the difference. I did figure out some work arounds the hard way— don’t push the stick all the way up the ball halfway only. Don’t dip the cake pop all the way upside down into the melted chocolate or bark— instead get a spoonful and roll your cake pop sideways in the spoonful, dragging and drizzling the melted stuff from the spoon over the top so you never hold the pop upside down. When I bought my first package I didn’t realize they were made of plastic and reusable. So when I got them I thought what a great idea, reusable. They were easy to insert into my cake pops. These seemed like an amazing idea, but the truffle cake pops slipped right off. I used two methods: (1) dip tip in chocolate and let completely dry then insert into cake pop and let set before dipping pop in chocolate and (2) dip tip in chocolate, let harden, stick in cake pop then add chocolate to just cover the hole and let that set before dipping pop in chocolate. Both ways the stick skid out of the truffle ball while dipping in chocolate (I even used two temperatures of chocolate). The paper sticks worked way better. ... show more

These worked perfectly for our cakepops! They are plastic vs paper which makes them more sturdy and less likely to fall apart when little kiddos are chomping on their cakepops which is a big plus.

I was skeptical to buy these since they are reusable. Although, they are I like the sturdiness of the product as they hold the cake pop and the cake pop don't slide off. Very easy to clean, I even put them in my dishwasher. This product is great to use if you have a at home party- since the sticks are reuseable.
