Meals look beautiful plated, durable, easy to clean, nice weight but not too heavy, stack well. In short, we LOVE!! Purchased the dessert plates, 22 oz. Pasta bowls and the coffee/tea cup set thats wider at bottom than top. They pair perfectly with this dish set. To find them, go to the Sweese store on Amazon to see their full collection. Had to veiw all to find these matching cups. Not only are they stylish and classy, they hold more than appears and just short enough to fit under my espresso machine ❤️ After ordering 3 other company's dish sets off Amazon, (which either came broke, wobbled, had imperfections or didn't stack well, etc) I should have ordered these first and could have been loving our new dishes sooner. Rims are pronounced just enough to hold sauses, gravey, or pasta dishes such as meat meatballs and spaghetti which keep the meal on the plate. Color is not a brilliant white, rather a beautiful snow white color (which I was hoping for!) Yay! It's the perfect soft white color to go in any kitchen. We absolutely love these beautiful dishes! Thank you Sweese for making sure quality dishes.

I had recently purchased a large number of white porcelain serving ware from various brands to update my dining. I first purchased 8" salad plates, then 6" ones. Both were flat in design, and the 6" ones were more like cup saucers than salad plates. These are perfect. The design element that won me over was the raised lip, and the next feature I love is the intermediate size. These are perfect as sandwich plates, some side dishes and, of course, small salads and desserts. They are beautifully glazed and heavy. Plus they are easy to hand wash, and come very clean (and sterilized) from the dishwasher. I am pleased with every aspect, including the price. If you are considering 6" salad or dessert plates, opt for this size instead., If you are considering a flat (no lip) 8" over this smaller one, I personally would do with this if for no other reason than the lip serves as a dam for dressings and toppings.

Bought the dinner plates and dessert plates a year ago. They are good for everyday use and not too expensive. I like the coup style for serving foods that have sauce, gravy, etc., as it keeps everything contained and off the tablecloth. I haven't had any problems using them in the microwave. However, the coupe style seems to be prone to the rims chipping. I've had this happen with some coupe style plates made of bone china, too, (bone china is supposed to be durable). If the chip is not too big, you can use fine sandpaper to sand down the sharp edges and continue to use the dishes (If I had small children, I would discard the damaged plate). However, once the the plate is chipped, it is more prone to cracking, so be vigilant. Another thing I've noticed is that coupe style plates can hold a good bit more food than a conventional rimmed plate, so if you're into portion control, a regular rimmed plate might be better. All in all, these dishes have been fine for every day use, but I doubt that I will buy the coupe style again. I'd give 3.5 stars if I could, but since I can't, they get 4.

The plates arrived securely packed - each plate was individually wrapped and no chips or breakage!! I like the weight of the plate - it stays where you put it! It is the first plate where my fork and knife do not fall out of the plate and onto the floor - it's edges catch everything - including runny food!!! I wasn't sure I would like the design but they stack up well and I love the benefits of the lifted edges. I am going to purchase another set in the near future! A+++++

I love these plates, the colors, the portion size... my only problem is I ordered the scalloped edges a few years ago and these do not have the scallops but match perfectly otherwise. The reason I had to order more is that I have granite countertops and dropped 2 by mistake and they shattered.
