I wanted to love this. For reference I am 5'6, 105lbs and ordered the XS. The skirt fit fine, but 2 of the 6 buttons had fallen off in the packaging before I even opened it and a 3rd was dangling - not a huge deal because I would have removed the buttons anyways as they were gaudy and ridiculous looking. However the jacket wasn't worth keeping. The fabric of the whole suit was a bit scratchy/plastic feeling, and the jacket (size XS) sleeves were too wide and too short. Bummer. ... show more

The quality is so-so, but I give it 4 stars because the price is so reasonable, and the quality issues are mostly fixable or ignorable. The two primary quality issues I found were: 1) one of the pockets is sewn on crooked and 2) one of the buttons fell off immediately, while the other was hanging precariously off the jacket. The buttons were an easy fix: I just sewed them back on, much more securely. The pocket issue -- it's not THAT crooked, and if I want it fixed, I can take it to a tailor. It seems like it would be a pretty simple and inexpensive fix. I did try to exchange the set for another one, hoping I'd get lucky with a straight pocket -- but, fair warning: the sizing is DEFINITELY hit or miss. I'm 5'6" and about 125-130 pounds, and the first set in small fit me absolutely perfectly. The replacement set (again, labeled small) seemed made for a child. It fit, but was noticeably smaller (I laid one jacket on top of the other and the sleeves, for instance, were like an inch and a half shorter on the second jacket) and felt way too tight and didn't look good. So... I went ahead and returned the replacement and kept the original. It's a very cute and flattering suit, and to me, for the price, it was worth keeping. I honestly doubt anyone else will even notice the crooked pocket. Just be aware, the sizing isn't consistent, so you may need to order more than one to get the right fit! ... show more

The skirt was tight and super short. The jacket fit well though. And it is not lined and so the fabric seemed to have part of the weave of the fabric unraveling when I opened the pkg. I will keep the jacket but sell the skirt. And fyi, I don’t think I can recommend this item as the price point and the quality are incompatible. ... show more

I returned this bc it was very poorly made. The buttons were uneven on the skirt and the overall sizing of the garment was very large. It looked very sloppy.

Yes, you do need/want this! I love skirt suit sets! Especially love Tweed. I’m a manager in a specialty salon, and that job means I’m also the receptionist, and the first person the clients see and speak to when they come in! We are only allowed to wear Black, however since I’m the manager I get a bit of leeway. I wore this on NYE when we were booked solid for 11 hours and it looked professional as well as fashionable and it was also very comfortable for the entire day. All the clients gave me loads of compliments and the stylists said it was their favorite outfit I’ve ever worn. I’m 5’7” and weigh about 145lbs I ordered the Large and it fits perfectly. The skirt is a little shorter than I would normally wear but with tights and over the knee boots it was fine. I thought it might be “too young” for me because I’m almost 40, but it was perfect and I LOVE IT ... show more
