I am sooooo pleased with this item! Gotta say, I was nervous ordering it, as a plus-size girl I've returned lots of clothing marketed as plus size that clearly was not, so I'm always nervous about fit. I'm anywhere between an 18-22, depending on who makes it (you all know what I mean!), so its a bit of a coin toss when ordering. I ordered a 3x and was astonished, an absolutely perfect fit. The pointed, draped front is super flattering, and this from someone who has NEVER been successful finding a jacket that doesn't look boxy and masculine. I'm about to enter the teaching field and I will be ordering more of these, in many more colors. I also LOVE the fabric, which some other reviewers panned but I am thrilled with, it's light enough to wear everyday, heavy enough to drape nicely. This is one of the best Amazon purchases I've ever made - so glad I took a chance on it. (Update) After my great experience with the first jacket, in black, I ordered three more in different colors. But there I ran into issues, so I am back to remove a star from my rating. One of the three came in a clear plastic package with the correct size on it, but when I tried it on it was noticeably too small. Odd, then I looked at the actual label on the garment itself and it was INDEED two sizes too small. So that one goes back to Amazon. One of the others I ordered I took out of the package and it REEKED of someone else's perfume!! Obviously someone's repackaged return. I would return that one, too, but it's just easier to wash the thing, but still... some quality control please? Also, I've noticed on these reviews that several people mentioned shoulder pads, which they cut out. I've ordered four of these now and only ONE has shoulder pads, so either there is a mixed bag in terms of manufacturing or a lot of these are repackaged returns.

I wanted to love this blazer - it was a great, vibrant yellow, a light-weight but not sheer fabric, and the sleeves were very flattering. However, there were some issues with quality (pulled threads, open seams) and I found the shoulder pads to be too imposing. Before returning it, I looked to see if they could easily be removed, but they are sewn in there pretty well, so I was concerned that removing them would otherwise harm the garment. I ordered a 1X, based on reviews, but I typically wear an XL (or sometimes a L in cardigans/jackets), and probably would have ordered my normal size for a better fit. The 1X was too bulky in the shoulders (shoulder pads or no) and had too much extra room around the torso. With a couple of tweaks, this could be a great addition to my wardrobe, but I think I'm going to try a few other styles instead. Wish it had worked out!

Shoulder pads are cheap and not secured. Too small, and to thick/tall for being so small. Feels like I have a ball of cotton sitting on my shoulder. Always have to "place them" when I put it on. And it's not fitted or "form fitting" so sometimes it slides back and looks like I have a tumor on my shoulder. Can't remember how much I paid, not worth more than $10. Although, it is a cute "cut"/ style - but does. Stay in the same spot. I repeat, looks disheveled unless you stand like a statue all day. The pallefs/ or fold over things on the front (whatever you call them!!! :) - are not secure so always flap around. Or fold over unevenly. Looks disheveled!!! Never wear a shirt with sleeves under this - as there is no silk liner - it will clump on your upper arm and give you nice old lady fat arms. Not a true black either - compared to a high quality blazer and you can see kind of brown. I wouldn't dare wash this - would probably turn dark brown/maroon. Not lined either - which is half the cheapness - results in being too light weight, fold over palles not staying put, and static - yes static - causing wrinkles (throws me back to the 80's. commercials!!! FYI, I'm going overboard on the review details - because I just got an amazon account a week ago and went nuts shopping - returning half the things I bought because I had no idea what I was really getting. Wish more people in the amazon community left more reviews and pics :).
