I have been diagnosed with 2 auto immune diseases and have been taking steroids for over 2 years. Both of these diseases cause muscle pain. And then I find out that I have now also developed arthritis. Every day is a challenge. I have not wanted to take some type of pain pill every day but if I wanted to function during the day, I usually had to take something. Then I found CoQ10 and that helped a lot. But, when I added AvoVida to my daily regimen, I knew that I had found a combination that worked very well for me. I bought some for both of my sons-in-law. One of them is absolutely not a "pill taker" and would not even take Tylenol most of the time. But, the relief from both of these items for all of us is unbelievable. I am sold. I am so thankful that I thought about giving AvoVida a try. It has helped me so much! I do not have to take something for pain every day now. I love it!

Update, 5 years later: Sadly, this stuff did not help me. I used it faithfully for about a year. Original review, written in 2015: Frankly, I'm going to review this now, even though I haven't been taking it long. Probably a week. I have not noticed a decrease in pain from the osteoarthritis in my thumb. Nor have I noticed an increase in mobility. However, ASU seems to be the *only* supplement recommended by the NYU Langone CMC PT/OT Performance Center, where I get OT. A link from their website led me to an article, or summary, on ASU at the Arthritis Foundation website. To see that summary, go to the Arthritis Foundation website and type in ASU. Article says it "inhibits the breakdown of cartilage and promotes repair." I take a bunch of different things that supposedly (or anecdotally) help with arthritis, but ASU seems to be one of the few supplements that actually does well in scientific studies. (According to NYU Langone, this is not the case with any of the other supplements I'm taking.) Felt very excited & hopeful when I read about the studies on ASU. So I am going to keep taking it, because there is actual evidence supporting its effectiveness!

I wanted to wait awhile prior to making a review. I've been taking this for about a month and a half now. I have chronic pain, joint pain, two herniated discs in my lumbar spine, osteoarthritis, piriformis syndrome, and sciatica and I'm only 28!!!! I have struggled with daily back and sciatic pain for 4 years. You name a treatment method, I've tried it. I got desperate once diagnosed with osteoarthritis and found information on this supplement. I'm known to kind of hoard supplements, but I just took this one for a month and a half. It has been the only thing to give me even any sense of relief in 4 years. The change started off very small, and of course I have my bad days, but I now have days where I am almost completely pain free. Will definitely keep buying! Thank you!

Obviously this would take months before any benefit is probably realized, but I think it is giving me stomach issues so I had to stop taking it. I will try again for a third time in a few weeks just to make sure, but the last two times I was taking it for a few days I got belly issues.

I'm 58. I've been experiencing Primary Osteoarthritis for a number of years now, and there is nothing my doctor can do. It's gotten bad enough in my left hand/thumb area that I haven't been able to hold hands with my husband for a number of years without tucking my thumb in, rather than holding his hand normally. My knuckles were getting larger, my pains were getting worse, I was tired of taking NSAIDs all day long, so I started doing my research, and found this product (approved by the Arthritis Foundation; go to arthritis.org and search for ASU) - Avocado Soy (ASU) by Swanson. I've been taking it exactly 60 days as I write this review, and I noticed over the weekend that I can grasp my husband's hand normally without pain! I was overcome with this absolute proof that ASU works!!! IT WORKS! Be patient, you might have to take it a bit longer to see results, but in my case, slightly less than 60 days has worked wonders. I will be taking this the rest of my life (yes, it's a large capsule, but easy to swallow) and buying it from Swanson (it might be faster shipping and more deals to work with them directly).

Someone recommended this product in a youtube video comment and I thought it was worth a try. I've been using the product for 2 months, 1 tablet in the morning, and it does seem to help relieve some of my arthritis pain. It's now on my Take Daily list. It's not very expensive, so I recommend giving it a try.

I am not a big supplement person but at just 49 yrs old and in chronic pain I was motivated to try. While not all aches have gone away i have much less pain while sleeping and go longer periods with no stiffness or aches. Was noticeable within just a few days of taking it. For the price you get a lot of bang for your buck relief-wise. Cetsinly worth trying a bottle.
