I have a 2016 Kia Sportage that I use when I go hiking, which sometimes involves an overnight stay and early morning start. With all the seats down, it's not real long, but this mattress fits pretty good. The wheel wells don't match up exactly, but that's OK too. My car does have a 12V plug in the cargo area, which works well to air up this mattress...although the car does have to be on for the plug to have power. This mattress does have 4 different chambers that need to be aired up, and I expected the top to be separate, but it's not. It's actually each of the side bolsters, the foot bolster, and the main center mattress which includes the "headboard." Getting that to lay flat during inflation will help it inflate evenly and fully. Each of the air chambers has a one way valve for inflation and a quick release for deflation. I did find that using the one way valve for the main air chamber was super slow, so I did the majority of the inflation with the quick release and then transitioned to the one-way to fill it up the rest of the way. Having the multiple tips on the inflator is great, but I will say I needed 2 hands when using the one way valve as the inflator pushed so much air that it would push the inflation tip off so I had to hold them together. Once inflated, the main portion is about 57 inches with the "headboard" up. It's really too short for me to lay on, but I found if I removed my headrests from the folded seats and tucked the "headboard" piece down, I had much more space and could just lay at an angle and fit in the back of my car. I also found the main section to not be nearly as thick as the bolsters, meaning that if I sat up while on the mattress, I would go through to the bottom. It was fine when laying down, but when the weight was concentrated in one area, I seemed to go through to the floor. And unless it's kids, I'm pretty sure 2 people aren't fitting on this without having the space to lay it completely flat, without the "headboard." I have a regular air mattress I will continue to use for my house, but this is a great alternative for the car since it folds up much smaller, includes a 12V air pump, a repair kit and a storage bag, and all for an affordable price.

The worst, most frustratingly hard to use defective pump ever, plus the bed is ridiculously thin and uncomfortable. The super flimsy cheap plastic pump has tip fittings that must be used to inflate the bed, but they don't fit onto the pump properly, and they fall off every time you insert them into the valves on the bed to inflate it. This product is an exercise in sputtering frustration. I finally got the mattress inflated (I am lying on it now), but I am totally bummed to report how uncomfortable it is. I will be sending it back. A word of advice: Pay more and get something good. This is not a product you'll be happy with.

The inflation valves include a one way flapper so that you can remove the inflator without losing air before you seal it. To deflate, you disconnect a bit further down. See my first two photos. It comes with a patch kit that includes patches and glue. The glue is an ethyl ketone, so use it in a well ventilated area. See photos 3 & 4. I tried to fit this into my Honda minivan (photo 5) and it was pretty small in comparison to the space. I also tried it in the back of my Subaru Impreza wagon (photo 6) with the back seats folded forward, and that was much better fit. Overall, the comfort seemed reasonable, though I haven't yet spent a night on it. The side pillows do seem to do a nice job of keeping you from rolling into interior panels of the vehicle. Overall I was hoping this might be a poor man's Exped of sorts. It doesn't feel quite that inspiring, but it is a lot cheaper.

The air matress itself is nice, flocked on the top side and pvc on the bottom and lightweight and easy to pick up. It also comes with 2 little pillows as a bonus. In total, the bed required 4 separate sections to pump, but they all took a short amount of time to inflate. But it’s not exceptionally thick and could be punctured by anything sharp like most inflatables are. It’s great for what it is, basically. But this is not exceptionally wide at its center so 2 people sleeping will still be a tight back-to-back or face-to-face fit especially in the back of an SUV (but that’s to be expected lol). The one thing I don’t like about this is actually the air pump itself. It’s limited by being only usable with a car’s socket lighter port, not a usb-a/c port and feels super cheap but overall it works.. lol so I can’t discount it. Because of the overall quality I’d rate this more at a 4.25-4.5* because this is a good thing to have but I’d still advise to have a separate mini inflator of some type in case you don’t have a conveniently located car socket lighter or your car doesn’t have battery to power it (in emergency emergencies). It’s a great product to have especially if you plan to camp out in the back of your suv or use it as a makeshift inflatable bed indoors but the air pump and attachments feels cheap. I do like the 3 in 1 attachment head for the air pump though, they’re all conveniently connected to each other. The material is good and sturdy on the inflatable bed and it does great fitting in the back of our SUVs (17 Jeep GC and 23 Mazda CX50) with its sectioned parts to move to fit in the back. I just recommend getting a separate portable inflator so you’re not limited to having to use just your car to pump the bed up.
