Features

  • Three predefined battery modes Performance, Endurance and Ultra deliver from 25 hours to up to 120 hours* of recording time with GPS tracking on. When you start a recording, youll get an estimate of how much battery you have left with the current mode. If its not enough, switch to another mode at any time.
  • On long ultra runs, battery life is often the limiting factor for recording distance and track accurately, as GPS is a heavy drain on the battery. Suuntos unique FusedTrack algorithm combines GPS and motion sensor data to improve track and distance accuracy. This allows you to extend battery life by lowering GPS power without significantly compromising accuracy.
  • Suunto 9 is designed and built to meet the demands of professional athletes. Tested to the extreme with thousands of hours of real use in the toughest conditions by Suuntos internal testing team and athletes all over the world, it is your trusted companion to confidently see you through any adventure!
  • Pair Suunto 9 with the new Suunto app to track all your adventures, as well as follow your long term trends, including daily activity and sleep. Easily share your greatest achievements and connect with others in the app community.

  • Great watch, but engineered into stupidity
Color: Black
Great watch, reliable GPS fix, but for all its dazzling features lacks some basic watch functioning that would be helpful and very useful. For instance, while in any exercise mode, that is, you've begun recording your exercise, you cannot utilize other basic features like a countdown timer (which I like to use as reminders to eat on long excursions). Another bummer is that you can't save Points Of Interest (POIs) while you're in exercise mode. For instance, while out running and recording the run I come across something interesting that I'd like to return to some day, I can't simply drop a pin to mark the location. The watch is meant for sporting, but major functionalities, i.e. navigation features, can only be used to mark POIs in a non-sport mode. ... show more

  • Do not buy this watch, especially from Sports and Gadgets
Color: Black
False advertising, this watch definitely doesn’t do what they say it does, Garmin is better and actually does what it claims. The seller Sports and Gadgets is terrible as well

  • Suunto 9
Color: Black
Loved the look of the physical body of the watch and strap. Size was excellent. Watch screen brightness was poor even on 100 % watch color vibrancy and color saturation was poor. Not even close to photos. Sadly I had to return it.

  • Not ready yet

I really wanted to like this watch but the step counter is way off! It adds 2000+ steps a day! Raise and lower your arm and it adds steps lol! My garmin fenix 3 and stratos never did that ! Also why do you have to add your sleep time frame in the watch? Shouldn’t it know when u fall asleep ?it needs help to cheat! Sorry but for a $600 dollars It’s not worth it. ... show more

  • Excellent, mostly
Color: White
The watch is great in most respects. If you are into endurance events, the battery life is fantastic and unmatched, navigation is very accurate, and the Bluetooth connections I've tried have all worked. I believe it's the best available GPS watch on the market. However, it does have a couple of significant drawbacks: 1) The wrist-based heart rate monitor is truly useless unless you are holding perfectly still; it does not work *at all* for running. The user manual also says that flexing your muscles at all will cause it to be inaccurate. I've tried wearing it high on my arm, wearing it under a band to keep out ambient light, and so on. Nothing works, honestly. The reviewers who say it "kind of works" probably haven't compared it to a chest strap monitor, which actually does work. 2) Suunto's chest strap HR monitor is a bit glitchy. When it works, it's wonderful. I find I can mostly rely on it and it has plenty of battery life even for 100-mile races and longer, but it will occasionally lose connection with the watch, or more commonly it will develop a bad connection either with my skin or perhaps between the monitor unit and the strap, and it will register ridiculously high measurements until I notice it and give it a nudge. Strangely, that happens even when I am sweating and the connection should be excellent. And yes I wash the strap regularly--I've run over 1000 miles with it so I know all of the tricks. That means that many of my runs include short segments where the HR is nonsense. It's just not a perfect system, as is obvious from the multitude of complaints online by owners. 3) Who owns your data? Suunto has introduced a new phone-only app called Suunto App, and have announced that they will phase out the older Movescount App (which runs on both phones and computers). With Movescount, you can download your data, but with the new app you can't. Some of the larger manufacturers such as Nike and Apple don't let users export their own fitness data. Is Suunto following their lead? If you care about having access to your own data in the future, it's a question you should ask the company before buying a watch. ... show more
