I love the lightweight feel of these light blue curtains. They are thick enought to keep the sun somewhat out and obscure seeing in from outside, but it's not complete coverage (I was going for the sheer look anyway). It added to the hominess of our living room and was a great touch to finish the look off. They have a boho, farmhouse look. I didn't have to steam them after washing/drying them. The fabric quality of these curtains is excellent - it is thick and very well woven. It will function fabulously and it is beautiful, too. The stitching makes them boho-styled, but the color allows them to appeal to anyone. I did not notice any smell. Yeah, they are kind-of expensive, but they will last for years. But my favorite thing was the fact that they come in many different lengths, including valances, so the long curtains and the valances can be used together. This is such a nice curtain. I love the boho vibe with the tassels and it has a nice weight to it. Not using it on a window but rather on a tension rod to cover my washer/dryer.
