So far this guard rail is okay I am still waiting on the other rail to get here. I ordered 2 due to the fact our queen is against the wall. Now, it looks sturdy however... It should be noted for people like me who have a metal bed frame on which you obviously cant drill holes into because it is metal. So to solve my problem I used zip ties capable of 75 pounds each. Since they fit through the holes. Would have been nice to know though this technically isn't made to work with a metal only frame. So if you have a metal box spring/frame like me get heavy duty zip ties and just put them through all the holes and tie it to the metal. ... show more

They were a little short (by about 4 inches, but they still worked perfectly! The corner pieces can get loose so make sure and check them every couple of days.

Okay so this thing say to not use it as a crib, i would suggest following their warnings and directions. This is for the people that are like me and chose not to. My son is 14 months, this is a queen size bed in his room. We have been doing this for 3 weeks now and it holds up pretty well. Best thing i could have gotten. I like how tall this bed rail is compared to others but the only downside of this bed rail is the button to lower the bed rail if needed. With that I don't understand why they don't have like a cover to cover the buttons. My 3 year old daugther was press or was messing with the button and the bedrail came off. Dangerous move right there cause my daughter could have fallen out if I wasn't there. I have this bed rail on her twin low loft bed and it's kind of high if she would have fallen off. ... show more

You need a wooden base or bed slats to screw it on for sturdiness otherwise this is not going to work. I am trying to do a diy on my spring base and see if it works this weekend otherwise i am returning it. The page should mention it clearly. Baby hazard.
