I was worried it would be too child-like, but it’s actually not- It appears sharp and rugged. I am able to hang my iPad away from my desk when I need the space. I can keep it upright and watch some shows with the space saving minimalist stand. When walking around I quickly grab it by the handle without worrying about dropping or scratching. I especially like that I do not get carpal tunnel since my hand rests under the strap. I have used it as a shoulder “bag” and was able to hide it under my jacket with no problem. This is going to be handy when I travel. I combined this with the Icares screen protector (Paperlike killer) and it’s a perfect combo. Overall I highly recommend this case for someone who wants to protect their investment but doesn’t want to sacrifice usability like with the portfolio-type cases. Dislikes: Only has three holes for carrying strap. It would be perfect if it had one holes for each corner. The first generation Apple Pencil doesn’t fit. I don’t have a 2nd generation so I can’t test the fit but I’m sure this was made for the 2nd gem so it may not even be a valid “dislike”. I wish the stand would be made from metal instead of plastic. It appears to be a bottle opener (I may be wrong) and it’s useless as such since it’s plastic. I use my Swish Army Knife for that so it’s not an issue. It’s also not an ideal angle for typing directly on the iPad but still doable. Not really a big issue for me though since I use the stand mainly for media

I really do like this case a lot. I can carry my iPad by using the long strap which keeps my tablet safe. Some reviewers have complained about the pencil falling out of the case. That hasn't happened to me. However, I think that if the case isn't on the tablet just right, the pencil may not be very secure. When I first received this case, I was frustrated by the poor instructions on how to install my tablet. When I finally accomplished this task, the two volume buttons didn't work. So, I took the case off and studied the construction and realized that I had essentially placed the tablet in the case incorrectly. I had to slip the side with the volume buttons in first, THEN the rest of the tablet. The problem had turned out to be that the case's buttons weren't in the right position when I had initially installed the tablet. Problem solved. I discovered very quickly that the pencil has direct contact with the tablet while it's place slot. If the case is not on exactly right, the pencil was more likely to fall out. It's too expensive to lose, so I took a lot of care in ensuring its safety. Now, what is my biggest problem with this case? The hand strap. The strap is in the very middle of the tablet and if one holds the tablet horizontally (I think most people do), then one has to have very big hands to be comfortable with the strap. I am small. 5'2" with a small frame. The hand strap is completely useless to me. Oh, I did try to hold it, but it was very uncomfortable and I had to give it up after only a couple of seconds. How about if I hold the tablet vertically? Then, I can hold it by the hand strap with relative comfort, but my hands are still a little too small for any prolonged effort. The long shoulder strap was a little more work, but eventually, it did indeed fit. Finally, I do have one suggestion. The shoulder strap can be attached in two ways--holding the tablet horizontally or vertically. However, the little "holders" that hold the straps are only on two sides. I think it would be better suited if the holders were on all four sides. Why? Because some people are right handed and others are left handed. Depending on how you hold the case, the pencil is set up on the right hand side. If you're wanting to hold it by the shoulder strap, it's more convenient to have the pencil on the left side if you're a lefty (like me.) So, I give this case 4 stars instead of 5. Despite that, it is a good, solid case and I do believe it was worth what I paid for it.
