I can confirm this works with the 2020 MacBook Air (the display appears unchanged since the 2018 model) and applied it with minimal fuss. Some tips for application: turn off the AC so you have less dust floating around. Wipe down the MacBook screen with some Windex or similar solution that leaves it streak- and lint-free. Line up the webcam hole and top edge of screen. This screen protector is a near perfect fit, with about a third of a millimeter wiggle room on left and right borders if you center it perfectly. After application, if you have air bubbles with tiny specs of dust in them, use two pieces of tape (not included with this purchase): one as a pulling tape to pull back from the nearest corner, the second piece of tape used to grab the dust off of the underside of the screen protector. Overall, I give this product five stars because it is as advertised: matte/anti-glare, fits the 2020 MacBook Air. Application was straightforward and easy for me, but YMMV. ... show more

    • Takes away the high quality of the laptop
First, the instalation was a hassle. The product didn't come with sticky appliers to guide the screen protector. What I am most disappointed about is how the screen protector takes away from the Macbook Air's display. It doesn't look high def. with the screen protector on. It looks as if the screen is oily. Not sure if this is from the sticky residue. I don't recommend this screen protector if you value the beautiful display of the newer Macbook Airs. ... show more

I wanted something to protect my new MacBook air screen. This did this trick beautifully. I put a couple pieces of scotch tape on the side to be removed last so that I could hold the protector and line it up perfectly. It looks great on my new MacBook and the antiglare works fantastically.

    • Install-have extra stuff with you
They don’t include any lint remover for the product with install-kinda annoying when there are little hairs you can’t get off before hand and then microscopic dust bunnies. In my experience with other products there is both a damp cleaning cloth and lint removal included... Otherwise the product is as says ... show more

    • Difficult install, reduces Retina display quality.
Pros: I'll start with the positive. I does reduce the glare like it says it would. It also seems like it would protect the screen from direct scratches. The adhesive is strong and does the job (though maybe a little too well. Cons: The installation was a pain. Micro-bubles are abundant if you don't install it correctly. Trying to uninstall a section in order to remove micro dust particles only made it worse due to the difficulty of getting the display of and the strength of the adhesive. The company includes three because it knows the first two are for trial and error, or at least it seems that way. The screen protector magnifies the otherwise unnoticeable retina pixels giving the display a sparkly, oily, and cheap look. It also blurs the image ever so slightly. If you don't mind those things, this could be a good screen protector. I took it off right away and counted it as a loss of $10. ... show more

    • Fine, but I took mine off after less than an hour
Like all screen protectors it's not easy to install perfectly with no bubbles, but I did it twice and you're able to unpeel a corner to fix a bubble as long as it's not caused by a dust spec. The protector is very flexible which may help installing it. Main issues is how it changes the screen. It's matte which I like but for any white colors it creates a faint but super distracting color pattern. Looks like oil or water and I hate it. I got my screen perfectly clean with multiple rounds of alcohol and lint free wipes but the weird appearance showed up on both protectors. I've had protectors on phones for years and never saw this. Size and price are good, packaging is nice, and I think it will protect the screen and reduce some glare as advertised. But if you want a truly clear protector this isn't for you and I'm going to try to find a different one now. I'm bummed it wasn't good for what I need ... show more

These screen protectors are great for my new Macbook Air 2020 (2179). I will admit they are a pain to install but the quality definitely is top notch. What would make the install much easier IMO is if the tab 'step 1' was reversed and placed at the top rather than the bottom, which makes pulling the layer as you apply the screen protector somewhat difficult since the keyboard is in the way. It took me two tries to get the perfect alignment and fit with no dust or air bubbles. Usually I'll apply the protector and use some scotch tape to peel the protector up and use another piece of tape to remove the dust, these protectors have such good adhesion they wont lift at all. I've always liked anti glare protectors, but the finish may not be for you, I am sure they have clear ones. Great protect, recommend to protect your MacBook screen. ... show more

    • Not worth it
I really sucked at applying these. I can usually do these things myself, but with little direction, and with it bubbling so easily, it was a pain. If you get even a TINY bubble in a corner, you might as well peel the whole thing off. It scratches easily. If you try to smooth bubbles out with even a small amount of pressure after the protector is applied, it’ll put in a deep scratch. The anti glare looked as if it would work well, but I couldn’t get one of these applied well enough to try it out. I will say that it took away the crispness of the screen quality while applied, but I’m sure that’s just the anti-glare. Maybe just not my kind of screen protector. I’ll buy a glass one when I can. ... show more
