I reordered this thinking it glass. I love glass. The screen is absolutely beautiful... until there is too much oil on the screen from me. playing my favorite games and it ceases to work properly until I clean it - which was becoming a daily occurrence. Or until the glare prevented me from seeing or sharing my screen in the summer time. I did not mind as it saved me from looking like my screen was protected. But, about once a year, I notice cracks and decide it’s time to replace it. My error with reordering was that I forgot i ordered a matte plastic screen protector in my excitement to get an Apple Pro and Pencil. (Mine came used and with a screen protector, so I never used the one that I bought.). I totally did not miss the film application process. So, I noticed it was a film not glass type after removing the old one. I hated leaving my screen unprotected more so than being worried about haing loss mr protector application prowess, so I decided to give it a go... until I ordered a replacement. It turns out, I might stick with this for a while. It is just more practical. The screen glare is less, finger oils have not yet become a problem, and writing on the iPad (which the glass did not bother me) has more friction but it does not have as much friction as I was worried it might. I also think that reading books on my IPad may be more paperlike too. Also, the air bubbles that I could not rub out all went away by the next day, so now the application is near perfect (the edges of my iPad bow slightly so neither glass nor film adhere well at the edges). I had gotten my first iPad in 2018 and bought this so I could put it on the screen right off the box. I am an artist, so I use my iPad with Procreate a lot to create my artwork. It wasn't until about 2 years in that I noticed some scratches were starting to be left from using the apple pencil. Because I have a habit of drawing mainly on the center of the screen, the majority of the scratches were concentrated there. The screen texture was perfect for me and it worked well with the apple pencil. Didn't hinder at all the pen pressure and there was no lag. It's no paper texture, but it being matte gave me just enough friction to draw comfortably on the screen. The first protector installation was okay, it was neither super easy nor difficult. I was trying to be very careful when applying it. I also chose to apply the screen in the bathroom, to reduce the risk of having dust and/or lint get trapped underneath. There were no bubbles underneath either. Didn't have the same luck when using the 2nd protector though, there was a few air bubbles trapped near the edges of the screen. The anti-glare was good. At least good enough for me. I'm not a picky person and I tend to stay in low lighting areas anyways. But in times when there was direct sun or a strong light overhead, there was a bit of glare if you didn't the perfect angle. But it wasn't bothersome to me. Overall, I do recommend these screen protectors! My iPad was used mainly for drawing, viewing videos and livestreams, type up documents, etc. And these protectors lasted me well for years ... show more

For the price, this is a pretty good buy. I'm really grateful this is a pack of three because I most definitely busted up the first one. It was misaligned, had dust particles everywhere... it just wasn't pretty. The pictures are the second one I put on, and it went down pretty easily. There are some bubbles from particles in the borders, but you literally cannot see them, so I am unbothered. As long as the screen itself is good, that's all I care about. The only thing I did wrong was aligning it a LITTLE off center so my case did lift it up on the left side, but I simply trimmed that side down. The installation, however, was not easy in the slightest. The installation videos provided were 1.) for phones, none had iPads depicted, and 2.) rather vague. I watched other videos on YouTube, and I think when I use up the last protector I have left, I'm going to try out the iCarez ones, as I saw the installation is easier. I also wish this pack came with the dust collectors, because not everyone just has tape on hand. I did though, so I personally was okay. The feel of it is pretty nice. It doesn't seem to be as rough as other protectors claim to be, so if you're looking for a more realistically paper-like protector, this one probably isn't it. I think it works great for me though, and my handwriting is unaffected! If the installation process was better, this would be a 5-star product. But, thankfully, it does bring more than one protector for those like me that may mess up. So, I recommend this, especially since it's the most affordable option! ... show more

    • Tricky to installl, but great screen protector!

I’m very happy with this screen protector. It does have a little bit of that rainbow effect people are talking about because it’s a film not glass, but it’s not as bad as some matte screen protectors i’ve had in the past, it’s still pretty subtle. I also do drawing on my iPad and found this didn’t effect anything with color. I think if you want a matte screen protector you’ll have to compromise on that rainbow effect thing. I really like the feel of the Apple Pencil on this, it’s not like paper, it’s definitely smoother than paper, but it just gives you that nice little bit of resistance rather than slipping around on glass. I like that it’s anti finger print, I hate that a device that is basically made to be used with your fingers shows so much oil, especially if you get light reflecting, this definitely helped with that! You can still get finger prints on the screen protector, but it’s not nearly as noticeable and much easier to wipe the finger prints off if you need to. It was a bit difficult to install, I ended up having to throw away the first one, because there was still dust on the screen even after I used tape to try to remove all dust, but I got it with the second one and still have one to spare if need be. It’s also a good price for 3 screen protectors. Overall I’m very happy with it and would buy it again! ... show more
