The rug is gorgeous and it laid flat right away (even the corners). The loss of one star was only due to the fact that the grey is darker on one side and lighter on the other. Luckily it gradually goes from dark to light, so we didn't even notice it for the first couple of days. From the time this rug arrived, it never laid down right. One crease would show up, we'd flatten it and another would appear. These were creases that went so the way to the side and were a tripping hazard. I usually keep these rugs for about a year or so, clean them occasionally, and buy a different one on sale. I have two Cairn terriers and at this price point I don't mind buying a rug every year. But this one didn't make it 5 months. I'm concerned my husband or myself, or worse yet, a guest, is going to trip and fall so out it goes. I'll attach a picture to show you what we've been fighting all these months. I think there's a defect in the weave, but nothing I can do now. As soon as you get rid of one, a different one shows up. I give up. ... show more

I have this in my massage therapy office. I've been through several rugs as it's quite a messy job. I've had light colors and dark colors and none seem to be good for high traffic messy space and look terrible after a month or so. This one has lasted me for months and months and still looks great.
