Both of the waste collection trays are bent, one badly enough it almost won't slide in. I'm going to attempt to fix the worst of the 2. Coming out of the box, the side walls seemed so flimsy, I thought I would be returning it, however, once they were finally in place, they're adequate. Now, getting everything into place.... YIKES .... the instructions are useless. I decided to lay the pieces out in an order that resembled a cage then figure it out myself. The design was pretty clear, but managing it myself was impossible. I tried, but in the end had to wait for help. There were 2 of us, wishing we had a 3rd to hold together 3 teetering pieces. Once the 4th wall was in, it was a much easier 2 person project. The cage does NOT measure 61". It's 58" at best, measuring from the bottom of the wheels to the top. I will take the blame for thinking the advertised measurement was the birds living space. It is adequate for a single Caique, although I was expecting something larger. The feed dishes are deeper and of better quality than the last cage I purchased. The door closes and latches as it should and the perches all fit without falling. All 3 are improvements over my previous purchase. I'll keep this cage. ... show more

I found more great features the longer I owned it. Easy to wipe down. Swing out doors to get food and water dishes out. A lock that needs two hands to open so the bird cannot unlock it. Great for my cockatiel.

    • Creaky and be careful because of large gaps that allow for birds to escape.

This is a large and nice looking bird cage with flaws that may be fixable if you are handy. We purchased this cage for a couple of newly adopted budgie birds. Budgie birds are quite small and they can be pretty smart when they want to. And one thing they want to do is escape their cage. On the day that we assembled this cage we put the birds inside and went to bed. In the morning we arose to find the budgies had escaped and were perched on the living room shutters. The problem with the cage is that there are gaps at the tops of the side panels wide enough for the birds to climb through and escape. This cage is not a solid build and flexes and creaks when being moved causing those gaps to sometimes get even bigger. I have tried a few different temporary fixes to remedy this condition including the latest: zip tie-ing wood paint stir sticks to cover the gaps. I will need to devise a better permanent fix because there is NO WAY we can take this cage outside to give the birds some sun for fear they will escape and fly off and get eaten by a no good cat. ... show more

I love this cage! I bought this cage for my cockatiel after her other one started breaking. I was looking for a larger cage that would last longer, and found this one. It is perfect! Not only did it meet those requirements, but it is SO easy to clean! The bottom tray sits well below the bottom of the cage, which seems to help. I love that both the bottom tray and the bottom grid slide out for easy cleaning. The stainless steel food/water bowls swing out, making it easy to clean and refill them. The large door makes it easy to take my bird in / out. The cage is sturdy and stable. When reading some previous reviews, there were reports that parts were bent when they open the box. I did not find this. All of my parts are in perfect condition. It was well packaged, with reinforced sides, edges, and corners. The reinforcesing pieces were both stapled and glued so they stayed in place. The strapping around the box was taped in place. Once opened, each piece was bubble wrapped. It couldn't have been better packaged! The written instructions were very unclear, and the English was poor, but i was able to assemble it quickly and easily from the pictures.     • Don’t waste your money!!

I bought this cage when I got my second green cheek conure so he could have a safe place to call his own. It was delivered pretty quickly and without any damage but considering I was forced to pay a $50 shipping fee that’s not saying much. Thankfully, no parts were missing when it arrived however the one sided sheet of paper with hardly any actual instructions provided ended up taking hours to decipher. There was also several different types of screws but the instructions never told you which ones to put where so that made things even more confusing. In the end I gave up on the useless instruction sheet provided and was forced to figure it out for myself. I believe I got all the pieces in the correct spot but what should’ve taken at most 30 minutes ended up taking up hours of my time, which I could’ve been using to focus on my birds. Not to mention the so called seed catcher has openings at every single bottom corner basically making it pointless as all the debris it “catches” falls right through it onto the floor anyways. I don’t ever write reviews because my free time is limited and birds require a lot of attention. However, I’ve never been so disappointed in a product I purchased and felt a need to warn any others considering this purchase. Please don’t waste your time and money on something that even the person selling it didn’t care to put more than the bare minimum into. ... show more
