I feed birds for my own enjoyment and for our indoor-only cat's entertainment. The birds are still gravitating to my plain Jane feeder after a week right beside this. I'm using this for a bird bath and haven't seen the water levels move a centimeter and haven't caught any even sitting on it yet. A bit disappointing as I've never had a bird bath - I made sure to only have two inches and placed it in shade. After some more research I'm going to try to add some stones to the basin for the little birds to hop on and see if that will entice them. I love the pattern on this, but it does feel very breakable. I know, I know, I ordered it knowing it was glass, but getting it out of the package I guess I expected something a little thicker and the chains to attach better - the chains slipped off twice when I hung it and this makes me skeptical if it will hold up to thunderstorms/high winds. ... show more

I bought this last summer (LOVE it and so do the birds!) and I just brought it out of shed storage for this season to find the light did not work after sitting in the sun all day. For those who have purchased this and are not aware.. there is a 'generic' AAA battery inside that it comes with when you buy it--that needs replacing if the light (in the on position) doesn't work. Just unscrew the 2 tiny screws in the back and replace the battery :) ... show more
