Hey there - I have been taking this product for about 8 years. I started back when it was plain ole Super Beta Prostate and when they improved the formula to the current advanced formula, I switched over to that. This is on Subscribe & Save for our household. I take 1 in the morning and TWO at night now. MY PSA is normal, and it always has been in spite of my dad and brother both having prostate cancer. My only issue was enlargement and some trouble with getting a steady stream. I'm in my mid 50s and my wife ordered this stuff as soon as I complained about not being able to urinate on demand as I had when I was younger. I originally just took two a day but eventually changed to my current dosing schedule and while I don't have the stream of a 20-year-old, I am satisfied and comfortable. I can sleep thru the night. Just realize that it will take at least two months of regular usage to see some improvement and longer to see really strong improvement. It may seem expensive but so is prostate surgery. For now, this is my best option for preventing and correcting age-related prostate growth. The way I take the supplement, 3 bottles last me two months. My Primary Care Doc is well-aware that I take it. Make sure you always tell ANY doctor you see what Supplements you are taking! I have heard people say this product upsets their stomach or gives them loose bowels. Based on their own statement, many of those men are also taking the cholesterol med, Lipitor, or its generic form. Lipitor, all by itself, can cause those problems and your doctor usually won't bother to tell you! My wife was put on Lipitor and after just 2 weeks, she had to stop because it made her so violently ill, in that manner. She was switched to the generic form of Crestor and the bowel problem went away. When she was in the hospital, they gave her Crestor for the first two days but ran out and just handed her the cup saying, " and this is your Statin," without telling her they switched her to Lipitor. within 2 days, she was having severe loose bowel issues. She asked them what they were giving her, and they admitted it was Lipitor because the hospital pharmacy "ran out" and they swore they were "identical" drugs. Well, not true. Ask a pharmacist. There is a reason I mentioned this, read on: I tell you this story to suggest that if you are on Lipitor and are under the impression that Super Beta Prostate Advanced is the reason for your tummy upsets and very loose bowels, you may want to switch to Crestor and see if you can solve the problem THAT way. I know doctors tend to write RXs for Lipitor FIRST because it WAS the first Statin on the market. But you have other options! Talk to your doc about this. I am lucky in that I do not have to take a Statin. This supplement has helped me from suffering the fate of aging men and if I ever DO need a Stain, I am going to ask for anything other than Lipitor. Check with your doc about maybe changing your Statin to a different formulation and then see if you still get nauseated or still have extremely loose BMs while on The Super Beta Prostate Advanced. I think you may be pleasantly surprised. It's just one thing to rule out. I, personally, have never had any bad side-effect from this supplement. I accept that it is something I will be taking as long as I live and while it may seem expensive, it sure beats Prostate surgery which can impact you in the bedroom in ways you don't want. In other words, having the Roto-tooter surgery, which is a really bloody affair, can make sexual relations difficult or downright impossible. There are newer methods but why not avoid the surgery altogether and halt the growth of your prostate now? As for your PSA number - that isn't always the most reliable predictor of who will or will not develop Prostate Cancer. Speak to your doctor about this. My PSA is very good but at my age, that should not be the sole means of checking prostate health. The physical exam is still necessary at certain intervals. Only your doctor can inform you of what is right for you. Super Beta Prostate Advanced doesn't prevent or cure cancer; it slows or halts the age-related growth of your prostate. There may be a link between enlarged prostate and prostate cancer, but this product is to help you slow down and/or reverse age-related prostate growth and other issues. I have posted some photos to give you an idea of the size of the pressed caplets and their appearance. As I mentioned above, I take 1 in the AM and 2 at night. I consider the relief I have gotten using this product to be well worth the price. My wife orders this for me and even pays for it herself because I might forget. She put it on Subscribe & Save every other month. She says it is for BOTH of us since she sleeps better when I'm not getting up several times a night with the urge to urinate but having a tough time emptying my bladder. Just remember, it takes at least TWO months of taking at least 2 caplets a day to feel any rel difference.
