Not the highest quality manufacturing but you will be able to clean most flame sensors with this tool depending on the thickness of the sensing rod. I’d recommend anyone required to maintain a furnace keep one of these handy on a keychain.

This tool is perfect to clean the flame sensor on a gas fired system. If I can clean the sensor and get the system heating, it gets the customer through until I can get a replacement part.

Yeah, this item simply didn’t perform. First use, the flame sensor (standard big brand named equipment) didn’t even fit into the opening. On the second attempted use, the brush just pushed to the other end of the cylinder. Maybe I could use it to store some small screws…

Honestly I was hopeful that this would be great, but it wasn’t. I can do it faster with a piece of sand cloth.

If you unscrew parts the brush portion will come out and it is not fun to try to fit back into the tube.
