It is not suitable for melting copper or brass. 1800W High-Power Electrical Requirements This 1800W (120V) furnace requires a dedicated 20A circuit for safe and stable operation. Plug directly into a properly grounded wall outlet. Do not use extension cords, power strips, or share the circuit with other high-power appliances. How long does it take to melt aluminum? After preheating, aluminum can melt in as fast as 18 minutes, depending on material size and starting temperature. Is this suitable for beginners? Yes.
