Mine showed up a little beat up due to poor packaging. The seller cut me a deal. I haven't gotten to use it yet, and I'm thinking I will seal up the ceramic wool to keep it from breaking down as fast. It seems well built, comes with two graphite crucibles, and I think the double burner will help get the heat up fast. I like the extras, like the tongs and gloves. Over all a good value. I will update if I have any problems running it. Edit: Finally fired this up. It works very well. I tempered the first crucible, and it heated up very quickly. The regulator goes up to 30psi. I set it to 10 psi to start, and it used up the propane very fast. After replacing the bottle, I set it to 5 psi, and set the ball valves at the burners at about half open, and the crucible was red hot in about 15 minutes. I'm very happy with this furnace.

Bought it and used it. Worked as expected. Installation instructions lack a lot to be desired. Hose clamps for propane connections seems eh, it’s up to you to be safe and responsible. Definitely had the osha theme song, “shake hand with danger” in my head while putting it together. 3 lbs of copper smelted 1 pound of aluminum smelted 1 pound of brass smelted So far.

The media could not be loaded. I like the price of this kit. It includes most everything you'll need for your first melt. The gloves provided are too thin to use for melting (in my opinion anyway). The 2 crucibles were a great addition to the kit. The graphite ingot mold is great. Wish the flame tubes had a better connection to the furnace. Have used a couple times now and really like how quickly the furnace and crucible get to temp, melting is faster for sure! All in all 4 of 5 on this due to the few items that I find not up to par.

Doesn't come with everything listed in the pictures . I only received one set of tongs . Picture shows 3 . now i have to buy another 90 bucks worth of stuff .

The furnace works great & I am very pleased with its performance. The crucible is not very good quality, it was only used for three short firings & half the copper ended up covering the bottom of the furnace & fire brick & insulation was ruined. Don’t trust the original crucible but a couple times. Now I have to buy replacement parts.
