I bought this TOAUTO melting furnace and I have been blown away so far. It is perfect for me, as I have been melting all my spare aluminum and turning them into fishing sinkers and weights. It is shockingly easy to use, and melts the aluminum so fast. Heats up fairly quickly as well. No issues at all and very easy to turn the temperature up and down based on your needs. It comes with a solid pair of heat control gloves and tongs for holding your hot items, such a great added bonus. I bought this TOAUTO melting furnace and honestly I’m pretty happy with it so far. It heats up fast and melts aluminum without any issues, which is exactly what I needed it for. The gloves and tongs it comes with are decent, but I’ll probably upgrade those later just to be safe. The build feels solid and it holds heat well while I’m using it. Setup was simple and the controls are easy to figure out even if you’re new to this. It might not be the best for really big melts, but for what I’m doing it gets the job done.

I gave this product 4 stars mainly due to the inaccurate labeling. It’s marketed as a “gold melting furnace,” but that’s misleading — the maximum operating temperature is 999°C, while the melting point of copper is 1083°C and gold is 1063°C. So, it can’t actually melt either of those metals. That said, it’s perfectly suitable for my needs since I primarily melt aluminum, which has a much lower melting point (around 660°C), and this furnace handles that with no issues. It heats up within the hour, which is pretty reasonable — especially for an electric furnace. Not bad at all considering it runs on household power. Once it reaches temperature, it holds heat consistently, and it’s worked great for melting down soda cans and small aluminum scrap. The compact design is another big plus. It doesn’t take up much room, making it easy to store, and the build quality feels solid — not flimsy or cheaply made. The setup process was simple, and everything needed to get started came in the box. Pros: • Heats quickly and handles aluminum with ease • Very user-friendly—great for first-time users • Compact and lightweight, excellent for storage • Feels well-built and durable • Affordable for what it offers Cons: • Cannot reach high enough temperatures for gold or copper • Misleading product label and description • May frustrate advanced users expecting more power Overall, this is a great entry-level furnace for hobbyists looking to work with lower-melting-point metals like aluminum. If the description were more accurate about its capabilities, it would easily be a 5-star product. Just be sure it matches the temperature requirements for the metals you plan to work with

I’ve recently got into the precious metals scene. I’ve been a collector of silver and gold coins. I work at a shop that often has aluminum cans that we recycle, so I thought it would be fun to scrap the aluminum myself and turn them into bars! This furnace has worked excellent for doing so. I’m in no ways a Profession so this was a great starter piece and was well worth the price. It can melt a lot of pop cans, and has held up well with multiple bars.

I’m blown away by how fast this furnace melts aluminum. It handles the full 8KG capacity easily, and the heating is uniform. The unit is robust, and the digital controls are simple to use. It’s a huge improvement over smaller, manual setups. A must-have for anyone working with aluminum.

I've been collecting soda cans for almost a year to smelt down as a fun side project. This electric smelting furnace comes with most of the basics needed to make this happen. It heats up uniformly and stayed hot for a three hour session of constant melting, removing dross, and pouring. Since it runs off of electricity, even assuming it runs a full duty cycle non stop, which it doesn't once it reaches the desired temp, I probably paid around 50 cents to run the furnace for 3 hrs. The size of the unit and crucible is great for melting crushed cans. I was worried with some of the smaller units that it would be difficult to put in even a single can but here I was able to throw in around 4 crushed cans at once. I personally would love an even bigger furnace even if it takes longer to heat up but this size works great and I highly recommend! For those that are interested in melting aluminum cans with this product, the extras needed are tongs to grab the crucible and pour, bucket of water to quench the formed but still super hot aluminum, a long handle ladle or spoon to remove the dross, and something to hold the dross in like an unused old pot or a metal bucket. I do also recommend a face mask when the labels and stuff are burned off when putting fresh cans into the crucible. Other than that, watching some YT videos also goes a long way! Thanks for reading!

Honestly I don't have many issues with it. The reason it didn't get 5/5 is because it didn't come with the crucible and the tongs that come with it cause damage to the lips of the replacement crucible I purchased. I got alternative tongs but they can't extract the crucible.
